Beautiful hotel and great stay

We had an amazing stay here. The hotel and grounds are beautiful and we were really impressed by the food and service. Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting a slightly more special hotel stay.

Poggio Piglia exceeded all expectations — the room was beautifully appointed, the pool serene and surrounded by stunning views, and the entire atmosphere incredibly relaxing. The staff were wonderful throughout, with a special shout-out to Sergio, who made our experience even more memorable. A truly special place — we’ll definitely be back.

We thought the property itself was absolutely beautiful and the staff was very friendly and attentive. Food was great and we loved the quiet atmosphere it brought to us. We do have a few complaints regarding the room. Not very happy about the private villa we stayed in. It had a bad smell like basement and there small bugs in there. Also no windows. Also we had to cancel one of our stay and we did not receive a refund which was disappointing.

Historic Tuscan Villa with a Modern Twist

Poggio Piglia was a great affordable option on the eastern edge of the Tuscan region. The historic villa has been meticulously renovated with a clean modern interior design. The front desk and restaurant staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. The Junior Suite room is not large however it is sized appropriately for a 2 to 3 night stay. Surrounding grounds are beautifully landscaped, picturesque and scenic to walk and explore.

Beautiful pool and surroundings. Expected a lot more for the price we paid. Breakfast staff was super unfriendly and we waited 30 minutes for our coffee. Rooms are a little bit outdated. €15 for an aperitivo at the pool bar is just too much.

Hotel com boa estrutura de quartos, restaurante e piscina. Observar que não há elevador e alguns quartos ficam no terceiro andar, gerando alguma dificuldade com malas e para pessoas com limitações de mobilidade. Pouco isolamento acústico entre os quartos.

Very friendly staff, but execution a bit lacking

The property is very nice, however the level of service could be improved. Breakfast was always somewhat poorly managed. They often did not have plates available, or they were out of certain items and did not appear aware. Tables were left uncleaned for a while after the diners left. They did respond quickly to requests, but many of these issues could have easily been addressed beforehand. The room was nice, but coudl have used a little more maintainace (plumbing slow to drain, toilet paper holder loose, a few floorboards coming up). Internet was very spotty and was non-functional most of the time.

Espetacular!!!!! O lugar é lindo e muito bem cuidado com jardins de tirar o fôlego. Serviço VIP em hotel de luxo nos campos da Toscana.Pequeno, com apenas 9 quartos, o serviço é individualizado. Quarto lindo e super confortável. Banheiro espetacular com excelentes produtos de higiene pessoal. Roupa de cama e toalhas de excelente qualidade. O restaurante é fabuloso com cardápio pequeno e chefe exclusivo, tudo muito gostoso, inclusive o vinho do próprio estabelecimento. Fica bem localizado , próximo a todos os atrativos da região de Montalcino, Montepulciano, Perugia, Assis, Lago Trasimeno, Termas de Chianciano.......

Fantastic!

Breathtaking when we drove into hotel property. Warm and friendly welcoming from the reception and staffs. The design of the hotel is outstanding, modern and classic at the same time. We love our room and the view from breakfast is fantastic. Didn’t have the weather for the swimming pool but the view is amazing by the pool. We will stay here again when we visit again. Strongly recommend this hotel for other travelers.

We fell in love with this property. The owner and staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The property is beautiful, rooms spacious and comfortable, and the location is ideal for day trips around Tuscany. The food in the restaurant was a pleasant surprise as it was very good and the breakfast buffet was lovely. We will definitely stay here again.

Geheimtipp auf dem toskanischem Land

Sehr elegantes, leicht abseits gelegenes Anwesen mit einer überschaubaren Anzahl an Zimmern und entsprechend Gästen. Das Personal war sehr zuvor kommend, freundlich, hilfsbereit und sympathisch. Die Lage eigent sich gut, um die Umgebung zu erkunden. Das Frühstücksbuffet war frisch und lecker, die Zimmer ein Traum. Parkplätze waren reichlich vorhanden. Einen kleinen, aber unbedeutenden Abzug gibt es bei dem Pool, der leider nicht zur Verfügung stand und dessen Befüllung sich über 6 Tage gezogen hatte - allerdings ist dies jammern auf hohem Niveau. Insgesamt perfekt, so dass wir nächstes Jahr wieder kommen wollen.

The hotel and staff are superb. It is a beautiful place to relax in. We were happy to eat at hotel in the evenings as there was no other restaurants in walking distance but would suggest that they rotate the menu or offer a special to give more variety. While we were there the menu did not change and 3 of the 4 main courses were beef.
