We had a great stay at the King Evelthon Beach resort. The facilities and pool area were lovely, located right on the seafront with access to the sea and a beautiful pool. The food was excellent and the staff that served in the restaurant were friendly and welcoming, unfortunately the same can’t be said for the bar staff (pool area), who were generally quite rude and all seemed unable to even smile when serving you ! A big mention to Georgina the relations manager, Justin the entertainments manager and Rashid, lobby bar, for a good overall holiday experience.

This is a horrible hotel which is worth 3* maximum. The staff at the reception were awful…even when they are not busy, they ignore you! The hotel is run down with mouldy showers and worn out furniture. Also there were ants on our TV unit even though we didn’t have food in the room. Food in the restaurant was awful, and even though we had the all inclusive package, we chose to eat outside of the hotel. Breakfast was average although the pastries were absolutely disgusting! They would serve the same pastries in the afternoon! The only good thing about this hotel was the tennis court and parking which were free. Best not to stay here unless you’re happy with worn out hotels and horrible staff!

Literally the best stay ive ever had! We payed for a standard room however they didnt have any rooms left so they gave us the master suite with a private pool! Had the best time ever! Amazing stay! Would definitely stay here again!

The hotel was amazing beautiful location by the beach 🏖️ service was very poor for a 5* foods was good especially the restaurants ( Mexican and Italian was my favourite rooms were clean.

The hotels communal areas were very nice but the rooms could definitely do with a re vamp. Our room was definitely tired looking for a superior sea view room. Most of the staff were friendly with the occasional member who totally ignored us especially in the dining area. Also you need to get up early if you want a sunbed by the pool because towels are on the beds by 7am.

The staff in reception are stressing, fighting getting angry on each other in front of the customers, I called the reception asking for slippers they told me it will come, it never came. The AC in rooms are really bad, very low, but the foods and breakfast are really good.

Please stay away from this property, I would be respectful to even give it one star. It smells so bad. The food looks like food poisoning on a plate. The rooms are the worst rooms I have ever encountered in my whole life of staying at hotels. Staff are rude. I had to checkout and find elsewhere to stay with my kids and they totally ruined our holiday. It was that bad that I couldn’t stay there any longer. All the reviews don’t lie.

Gone wrong right from the start. Rude receptionist. If there is the worst person to be on reception its at the Evelthon. An older lady shouting at staff and being rude to customers. 5 star???? questionable more like a 3 star 1-FILTHY CARPETS in the corridor 2- Lights broken in the toilet 3-broken shade which was one of the features we chose to pay extra for. 4-Lights on Balcony come on by themselves and cant be turned off. 5-Rusty screws in the bathroom. 6- filthy bathtub and black mold in the shower 7- Falling roof bits everywhere around the hotel 8 -exposed electrics Great location Maybe a 5 star 10 years ago Reception lady not fit for customer service. Awful hotel stay elsewhere

Not a good hotel like people say. Staff are rude. Only 1 pillow in the hotel when I checked in and was told I couldn’t have another until the next day. (2 of us in the room) multiple members of family caught food poisoning. A tragic event occurred and no first aid trained staff or any medical equipment. Rooms were not cleaned and toiletries not refreshed as often as you would want. Would not recommend. Half of the facilities are usable. I believe the health inspector is getting involved which is what this hotel needs. I shared my room with my brother which I made them aware of prior to arrival and the shower screen was see through to the room. Bit awkward. Pools weren’t cleaned.

Terrible cleanliness

Really disappointed with this hotel, i wanted a nice break with my partner and decided to book a “5 star hotel” but i wouldn’t even give it a 3 star. Room was never cleaned and just had bed done and towels changed. The floors were always dirty and full of bits, the carpets in the corridor was alway dirty and full of insects. The gym floor was dangerous as I nearly fell over the lifted flooring. The worst of all was the corridor next to where I stayed. We parked at the parking closer to our room as we notice a fire door was open so it’s saved us walking through the hotel, little did we know we was walking right into what we believed was the staff quarters. I can’t explain how bad the smell was and how vile the place had been kept, I’ve never seen anything like it never mind in a “5 star resort”. You may think well that’s staff quarters so it shouldn’t affect us. Well that corridor was directly next to ours and we soon realised that this was the reason why our corridor alway had a bad smell to it and made the stay very difficult. They all had the fire door which was in between our corridors bolted shut so no one could get through , I’m guessing due to the horrendous state it was in. The pool and outside was nice and so was the food but other than I hated my time there.

Terrible experience which ruined a short get away. Unless you are coming on an all inclusive package looking for cheap food and cheap drinks at a rundown place DONT BOTHER EVEN LOOKING INTO THIS ONE. Stayed here when it first opened. We loved it then, new, clean, excellent hospitality it was very promising. On a last minute booking I was glad to find availability. Upon arrival we realized this holiday would be a disaster. Rooms are falling apart, everything is broken EVEN THE DOOR!!! Wallpaper drifting from walls, leather in beds falling in patches, visible screws temporarily fixing the problems. Requested a room change but the manager refused and was hiding in her office instead of talking to us. Poor guy at reception he was doing everything he could but she wouldn’t allow the change as it was fully booked as they are used to say. Upon persistence and all over sadden a room was available. Not much better condition but at least the door was in place. TV not working but that was the least. No bathrobes, no water no sleepers , we had to request 3 times before they deliver. We were on half board, food at buffet was HORRIBLE, tasteless and cooked like mass production. We ordered burgers which were on a different level, tasty and well cooked. Very bad management , nobody knew what was going on neither they cared.. Choose if you are looking for a loud, cheap, dirty, place with beautiful surroundings and very bad hospitality.

Not taken into account request for twin bed and cockroach in bedroom. However we were then moved really helpful porter. Entertainment staff were great really attentive. Food was great choice and really good, drinks not so much. Pool great and outdoor area lovely
