Booked an accessible groundfloor room, was presented with key to room up long steep flight of stairs. No refund offered, half hearted apology. Went away and stayed elsewhere. Very disappointed and out-of-pocket

AAA is getting very tried and dose need fresh paint and tied up but on saying that we have been staying here for over 5 years and the same people have been there and are very lovely and I would still go back.

Room was nice but smelt horribly of bleach. Staff member who greeted us at the office seemed a bit disinterested. We ended up getting up to our room and decided to move to a different hotel due to the permanent residents staying at the motel, One of which was wearing an ankle bracelet and kept asking questions about our trailer. Felt very unsafe.

Walked into the room and couldn’t breathe as I am asthmatic, room is a non smoking room but they allowed smoking outside and the outside is covered so smoke just blew back into the room Also the curtains looked like they haven’t been washed in years and had rat or ant droppings on the basin And what looked like a flee in the shower So had to check straight back out and try and find other accommodation

Do not stay here

We got to Christchurch late and checked in to this Motel for 2 nights. When we got there, the front desk gentleman was very nice and gave us our key. When we entered the room i looked around as i usually do and looked in the bed to find bugs in the bed and the room was not very nice looking, definetely not worth 85 each night. We went back to the front and complained in which the front gave us a new room. That room when looked at it, the bed skirt and bedding looked like it hasnt been washed in a really long time. Absolutely disgusting

It was adequate for our requirements and we would recommend it as good reasonably-priced accommodation. However, our unit was upstairs and opposite a unit where the people were smokers. The motel's policy of allowing people to smoke outside their units meant their smoke entered our unit through gaps around the door; normal gaps that would not have been a problem under any other circumstances.

Check in was easy and painless - Even got a early check in which was appreciated - Staff was pleasant - Room was clean and tidy However the shower leaked water through the badly fitting seal - Biggest Problem for me as I have a bad back and hip was the bed was too low - But the access Stairs were dirty with and unclean Used matches and loose litter made this a hazard for me - I am sure the Owner will address this issue when the Review is read - Overall Happy with our stay

A mixed bag

This Motel was very conveniently located for what I needed to do in Christchurch. It was nice and clean except for the pubic hair in the bath. The first night was not good with a party and arguments happening. The second night was better with just an early morning argument in the neighbouring unit (5am). I believe this motel may be being used for emergency housing. Without the noise issues, this Motel would be excellent value.

I don’t know who the owner rents rooms out too but maybe housing Nz because I was in a room under people that were partying all night till about 4am. Constant loud stereo and even decided too vacuum the unit at about 1am. Constantly in and out of room banging doors, couldn’t believe how they were just aloud too get away with it. I knew if I went and told them too be quiet I would either get assaulted or they would just make more noise on purpose. I didn’t get too sleep till just after 4am and was up at 6:30 too leave anyway. Horrible place and it did stink of weed everywhere. I’m going too try too get my money back this afternoon

Quiet, clean, comfortable spacious unit and great location and staff. However, No soap or shampoo/conditioner …. could have asked, however, had my own. Limited mirror ….. This we noted as we were attending a fancy dress party and found viewing our self vanity was limited.
