"Pro’s - clean, spacious accommodation within walking distance of the train station and traditional streets. Con’s - no air conditioning in the bedrooms."

"Very family friendly option to stay in Hakone. Walkable everywhere, including to food options. Would return."

"Staff was so friendly and the villa is soooooooo nice. "

"We absolutely loved this place! It was very spacious, very close (yet quiet) to the train station, and you can't beat the Mt. Fuji view from the window. Highly recommend!"

"The property is historic, yet well renovated, so we were comfortable. They also provide tea and cups of noodles at no additional cost if guests need a snack. The biggest bonus is that it's a traditional Japanese house in a historic part of town, so staying there is a travel experience in itself. The small intersection the house is located at is even on the front cover of a tourist handout at the local TI office. We highly recommend it. "

"This was my favorite accommodation in Japan. It was very cozy and made me feel home. We had the Sennari room. There were 4 beds in two rooms but we only used two. There was a microwave, fridge, kitchen sink with dishes/soap, washer/dryer, kitchen table, sofa. It was two levels with bedrooms upstairs. We never saw our host. It was self check in with a code. It was located in a great area. We were able to walk to and from the train with our luggage. There were several restaurants and shopping very...

"I never saw an image of the exterior of the building in the advertisement on Expedia. I never read that access to the upper floor was via a steep staircase which made carrying two suitcases to one’s room difficult. The place appears to be managed by the Wat Hotel next door but without access to the Wat’s facilities. The walls between the rooms were such that one could plainly hear conversations next door. The room was fine but the experience frankly disappointing."

"Very nice property. The home is very clean and rather spacious. Very close to nearby public transport which makes it very easy to get around. Location is rather walkable as well to other restaurants and coffee shops. Enjoyable more immersive experience to the neighborhood. There's a great little coffee house literally seconds away. Lovely amenities in the home. Personally loved the shower and large bathtub. The beds were good, but were very loud and creeky even with subtle movements. Since there...

"Spotless very clean. Great beds, hot water, easy to find"

"Very nice place with really everything you'd need. The location is also really nice, but restaurants in town close really early. Overall if you have decent sized group I totally recommend."

"ドライヤーのコードの接続不良で、電源が入ったり切れたりの繰り返しで困った。 通りに面している部屋だったので、騒音が気になった。"

"Staff were very friendly and helpful. Lots of parking and a great view of Mount Fuji (san). Good location for everything in the area such as the Ropeway, Fuji-Q and lots of restaurants "

"The location is very convenient and the area is quiet. Since there is no parking place provided by hotel, you have to park around 5 mins away."

"This property was extremely clean and the host was amazing at communicating and greeting us upon arrival. The location is perfect; walking distance to restaurants and grocery store. The washer and dryer were a bonus. The roof top deck was great for morning coffee with a view. We absolutely loved our stay here and wished it had been longer. We highly recommend this apartment hotel."

"Great property and close to the station"

"While this stay lacks in the polished stays of a fancy resort it makes up ten-fold in charm and personality. This was the coziest most wonderful stay we've had on our trip yet and we'll definitely be back. Located a mere 4 minute walk from the train station and a 1 minute from the beach this was the low key break we needed. The stay was clean with great amenities. The foot bath and soaking tub were great ways to end each day and the locality to nearby convenience stores made grabbing a bevvie...

"Clean room, great amenities, great view of Lake Ashi"
