This hotel is a little bit out of the way from Chur centre but the free transport card given to us by the staff brought everything within easy distance.

Great hotel exactly as described. Taxi to central station €15 convenient. Alternatively train to Chur West, free if using an interrail ticket. Bus service to town looked convenient & free with hotel coupon. You are staying in a hotel attached to a shopping centre with very limited catering facilities at the weekend. There is a super coop & the hotel has a microwave available which is great with ready meals.

The room was spacious and bright with large glass windows. Front desk was very helpful and proximity to shopping made misc travel needs easy. While outside the city center a 6 min bus to downtown / city center, makes things manageable without a car. Overall a pleasant experience would recommend for those looking to recover from extended travel.

The view was great! (we purchased the mountain view), but personally I don’t think the room was much to rave about. The area itself is very expensive so be prepared to spend 100CHF for any meal. The staff were wonderful, but one night was the right amount for us.

We booked 2 rooms at the Mercure City west in Chur, in one of the rooms the comforter had blood stains, this was very unpleasant, the rooms were large and comfortable but not clean, the pillows were not comfortable and the breakfast was very bad, the front desk was not friendly and unapologetic when we told them about the blood stains on the comforter.The people in this city is very rude. We do not recommend this Mercure Hotel in Chur, we have stayed in several Mercure Hotels and they have been good, unfortunately not this one.

Not sure how this is a 4 star hotel.

I’m not sure how this hotel got a 4 star rating. This makes me thankful we didn’t opt for 2 or 3. Wonder how bad those would have been? The staff is stellar and friendly. The hotel itself is subpar. Pictures show room in disrepair and they were painting in the gym and hallways. They should have really closed this floor because of all of the remodeling going on. Pictures on website are certainly a stretch for what you’re actually getting. Breakfast was good enough but in hindsight we would have just gone to Burger King and saved a bunch of $. Little control of the room air and considering we were in the Swiss Alps, we were sweating all night. Not good at all!

The hotel offers free public transport. The bus stop is right outside and takes you directly into the city and to the train station. The maintenance crew could benefit from better technical support!

Newish Mercure hotel. Our room was on the 9th floor with big windows on both sides with fantastic views of the surrounding mountains. The hotel is within walking distance of the cable car to the top of the mountain. Breakfast options are limited. The staff were nice.

We stayed in a mountain view room at the corner of the building, so we have two sides of the walls are big picture windows with fantastic view of Alps. The room is spacious with a kitchen and fridge. Very big and nice bathroom. Will stay again.
