"Suited me just fine. They provide a coffee machine & some pastries in the room for a quick breakfast, but it’s really good as a self-catering establishment. There’s a fridge in the room (well stocked with bottled water & little juice packs) and a very good kitchen with cooker, microwave and plenty of crockery & utensils. Handy grocery stores nearby for local cheese & meats etc. I like this sort of place. Would happily stay again."

"This is not a hotel, reception is a porta cabin, WiFi does not work on 2nd floor, no breakfast as there is no one around , still had lighter and cigarette butts in ashtray from the last person that stayed there. Builders working on swimming pool. Maybe things are different and better at high season. "

"I visited during the off season, when Hotel Melissa was one of the few places to stay in the area. There is very little to do or see in Torre Melissa, but the weather was lovely and warm, the beach is beautiful and completely empty. I had a lovely conversation with the local fishermen who were emptying their catch while repairing their nets on the beach in front of the hotel. The hotel, which has one of the only "upscale" restaurants in the area was packed on a Friday night. The food was delicious and fresh, while the service was great and the servers friendly. The town is only a few minutes drive to nearby Torre Ciro' and about 25 minutes from its mountain top sister, Ciro', both of which are pretty and worth the effort. "

"Nice place to stay"

"Nightmare stay...or non stay! Finally arrived after driving along dirt roads for 30 mins trying to find the place. Google maps will take you to a deserted beach. Dragged suitcases 50 yards over rough pavers from gravel parking lot. No pillows in room, trash not emptied and greasy headboard on bed. Ok, its just a place to sleep for one night. 30 minutes later extreme loud music starts blasting. Find out they'd booked an 18th birthday party but didnt bother to message us beforehand to give us an opportunity to find alternative accommodation. Asked for a refund so we could find somewhere else to stay and was told by Rafael that wouldnt be an issue, just contacr Expedia only to find later that Expedia said they wouldn't allow a refund. Also charged an extra $40 for apparently a spa we never saw there. Avoid this place like the plague, unscrupulous, disorganized mess."
