"This motel is a throwback to the heyday of motor courts; nice enough and affordable for a night's stay. The staff is Southern-gracious, and the the check-in clerk recommended San Marcos, an excellent Mexican restaurant nearby. The rooms are clean and comfortable with in-room air conditioners, which we liked, because the drone puts us to sleep. I did hear a train on the nearby track once during the night, but just faintly. The pool was closed, which was too bad; it would have been nice to sit out...

"The lighting in the bath area was very dim. The shower stall - handicap - floor was very slick and the tile was slick; also no place to put soap, shampoo etc. while in shower. Everything was clean."
