"My family had a great time at this property. Unfortunately we weren’t able to kayak since the army dams the lake in the winter. While this was unexpected, we made the most of it and walked the dry lake bed quite far and my family was able to find some fishing spots. The cabin was clean and had what we needed. The back deck was a great place to read my book and kids liked the bonfire in the evening. We would stay here again but make sure the lake is there!"

Darrell had a fire going for us when we arrived and the home was warm and inviting. He also gifted us some fresh farm eggs and sausage which were so delicious! "Great family retreat. The cabin was very clean and well maintained. The listing was very accurate and well described. We were close enough to Mammoth Cave to partake in a day of hiking, but far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet of relaxation. Definitely would recommend if you would like a cabin away from the hustle and bustle."

"My husband and I planned a stay with our girls and both our dads to make some memories. We found this amazing cabin and booked right away. It was even nicer in person than described. Only about 30 minutes from mammoth cave. They had plenty to do in the cabin when it rained and we all got to enjoy the hot tub post our hikes. We enjoyed competing on the shuffleboard table as well! If you are staying in the area, choose this house, you will not be disappointed."

"Great house that was inviting and felt like home. Kitchen was well equipped, nice with granite countertops and plenty of counter space. Large lawn for kids to play in with a creek/ravine behind. The only difficulty was there is no interior dining room. The only large table is out on the screen porch but it was too cold for us to eat out there in March.
