About this property
Ronald, Once a Coal Miner Town, By Roslyn!
Imagine waking up in the morning with your cup of coffee, and sitting outside looking at the mountain range. Watch your dog outside enjoying the large fenced front and side yard. You can view pets from the windows inside too! Enjoy area hiking trails, visiting Speelyi beach or check out the Roslyn Farmers Market on Sunday. Visit the surrounding shops and restaurants. Lots of great Northern Exposure History (90’s TV series/Netflix). The Brick Saloon is a historic landmark in town and has weekend evening entertainment. In Ronald, don’t forget to check out Old # 3 Bar & Grill, great breakfast on the weekends! Walk out the back gate & down the alley. In the oppitsite direction you can walk the Coal Miners trail that goes through Roslyn all the way to Cle Elum! Go up from the trail start and you can find old ruined structures from the coal mining days. Neighbors across the vacant lot, in the red house have a friendly pet pig, named Twinkle. She eats fruits & vegetables if you would like to bring her a snack. Just go on over. They recently got chickens & let them roam during the day. A favorite place for them is behind the plum trees. Sometimes they come in the yard. They are pretty friendly & you can pick them up & put them back over the fence if you want. Let me know and I can notify the neighbor to come and get them.
HOUSE RULES & CARE: Please see pet rules below if bringing a pet! Must be pre approved.
HOUSEKEEPING FEE: $135.00 This ensures that all the linens are clean, beds are made & ready. Floors, the kitchen, bathroom and all sanitation has been done. Your starter pack of TP, paper towels, soaps, trash bags, firewood etc. have been stocked.
HEAT: There are 2 wall heaters on the main floor. One is under the window by the refrigerator, the other is in the bathroom. In winter, at check out, please turn the living room heater to the marked line and the bathroom heater so it is barley turned on. Leave turned off in summer.
There is a hatchet & sharpener for splitting wood for kindeling, (chop outside please on wood rounds). Firewood is provided. Bring your own fire starter, paper, and kindeling to get it started. Do make sure there is no burn ban in effect for Kittitas County. No fires are allowed during a burn ban. Usually Aug - Oct depending on the weather. Air Conditioner: There is a portable ac machine just installed for 2026! The hose has to run out of the only window in front of the refrigerator. Please be careful opening the refrigerator doors. There is another AC machine that you fill with water & it helps cool the home even more.Tiny ones in the bedrooms. Directions on them. Be sure front blinds are closed. The sun shines in there.
Please turn off all lights, lower wall heater temperature, unplug portable heaters and close all windows & blinds when checking out..
COFFEE, CONDIMENTS: We have coffee, tea or hot choc & several ways to make your coffee! We keep squeezable condiments for guests in the fridge, to keep sanitary for our guests. Please let us know if we are out of anything. There is an electric water heater on the hall shelf that just heats water.
CHECK OUT/CONDITION of HOME: Please rinse or wash your dishes before leaving & put in dishwasher. Flip clean or dirty sign. D/W soap pods are under the kitchen sink. Gently wipe off counters & stove. Please wash wine glasses, pots & pans by hand & put away. Just leave beds unmade or strip sheets and leave sheets & towels next to washer/dryer in hall laundry basket. It's up to you! Housekeeping does love when you start a load of sheets or towels for them! Leave comforters/quilts in the bedrooms they came in & do not remove comforter covers or mattress pads. If comforter gets dirty, please leave the entire duvet or quilt in the hall by the washer. Guest will be charged for replacement of bleach damage/stains to pillowcases, sheets, towels etc. Please do not stain or bleach linens or towels. Some skin care damages sheets/pillowcases. SOFA: Please put back the memory foam bed topper, if used, back inside the storage section of the couch. Linens for sofa bed are on the hall shelf. Please use the top & bottom sheet to keep the couch & comforter cover clean for the next guest. Be sure the front pull strap is left in the out position for opening. There is a couch cover for dogs! If you need to use the couch for sleeping, feel free to remove the cover & leave off to the side. Housekeeping can take care of putting it back on. It's very helpful in keeping the couch clean!
TRASH: If you can, please take your trash. I have no trash pick-up in Ronald. It's just not cost effective. When I stay, I separate my recycling from trash & take it all home to dispose of. Trash can is no touch/hand wave activated. Switch in back, can be turned off/opened manually, if you have a dog that may get into it.
PET FEE: Pet fee is $18.00 a night, per pet. Pet fee is charged separately and pets must be approved by host. There are doggy bowls, waste bags, high quality dog biscuits, toys, and blankets to cover the furniture/beds or for cuddles. Please bring your pets favorite bed, crate, blankets and toys, if you prefer.
PET RULES: Well behaved pets are allowed on a case-by-case basis. No more than 2 dogs. Please message host a photo & description. Such as breed, size, and temperament, (manners). Do not leave your pet alone in the home (uncrated) or yard. You must bring a CRATE for them or take them with you. Please clean up the yard with waste bags. There is a lint roller and upholstery attachment for the vacuum cleaner on hall shelf. The house is on a main street, (State Route 903) so keep your pet contained inside the yard with the gate closed. Speed limit is 25MPH. Do check that the back gate is closed. Note: Your pet fee does not cover cleaning up after your pet or excessive hair. It's more like a low-cost boarding/extra guest fee covering wear & tear etc. Shedding, hair on furniture, pet pee (hope there is none!), & any other spots on furniture must be cleaned before you check out. Housekeeping only takes care of the standard cleaning of the home. If there is excessive cleaning, you will be charged an additional fee upwards of $35.00 that will go directly to housekeeping. Any damage done by a pet; you are responsible for the full cost of repair. Bringing your pet means you have seen & agree to these conditions/rules. We love responsible pet owners & well-mannered pets. It's great for you to enjoy your pets & have them with you, but it has to be comfortable and clean for the guest coming after you. Any unauthorized pets, guest will be charged a $250 fee & reservation could be canceled.
OUTDOOR CAMERA: There is a camera facing the driveway for security, weather and yard observation/condition, and road/driveway conditions. CHECK OUT information is also on the wall next to the back door inside. No food or drinks upstairs. LADDER rules/safety are on the wall in the hall. Be sure to read them! Please take good care of my home! It can be fragile, don't force things. It's an older home & I hope you enjoy it with it's quirks & charm!
