"It’s a beautiful large cabin, we have a large family from newborns to great grandparents and it was wonderful for all. The house & kitchen is very well stocked with almost everything you would need . I was very impressed. Anytime I messaged the host he replied immediately! Highly recommend this house for large families!"

"The property is beautiful and very serene. Love the country atmosphere and the chickens add a country flair as well. The home is equipped with everything you need and also plenty of outlets and adaptors. Very clean. Air conditioning is nice. There is a little store about 5-7 minutes away. Host was available with answers to questions if you need them answered. We would definitely consider staying again. We had a family reunion for the weekend and it was just around the corner from the home so that was ideal."

"The house itself it beautiful. Unfortunately, the water that is shown is not a lake, it’s a pond.The shoreline is very mucky and it is not swim able. We also had a problem with ticks. Three of us, plus a dog had ticks on us. We did not go in long grassy areas, the ticks were from right outside in the yard."

"From my first message to Sydney, which was replied to quickly, I knew that we had made the right choice of cottage for our annual family vacation.The cottage is located on *gorgeous* Clear Lake north of Atlanta, Michigan. The cottage faces directly west & the sunsets are absolutely perfect. The lake is as clear as it's name suggests, and was not crowded at all due to the state land that surrounds about 2/3 of the lake. There is a state park on that land, the few people on jet skis were outnumbered by fishermen in small boats or by the occasional pontoon boat circling the lake.The cottage itself is nicely set up and was clean as could be. There are two full bathrooms which is nice. Don't let the fact that the cottage only has two bedrooms discourage you. Both rooms are *quite* large. The first floor bedroom has two queen beds & a single/single bunk bed. The second floor bedroom has a queen, a single, & a set of bunk beds as well. Rooms have enough space & do not feel cramped despite the number of beds in each room.There's long concrete driveway & room for as many cars as you would need to park. There's a screened in porch on the front of the cottage - we loved it and hope it never gets removed :-) - as well as a small deck with 4 chairs & a nice Weber propane grill. The main deck at water's edge has a picnic table, lots of chairs, & a propane firepit. The view from the deck is fabulous!Great vacation! Sydney is a great host, too. You won't be disappointed!"

"What a place! When setting the reservation for the cabin, I didn't realize the property is so much more. The "River Cabin", the home base and lodging for my buddy and me for our fly fishing excursion, was historic, comfortable, a rustic beauty that had the modern amenities (i.e. internet, air conditioning, nice kitchen, awesome porch, deck with grill, etc.) we needed, and overlooked a classic meadow that bordered a beautiful stream. Surprisingly, however, the entire property, quiet and private, also contained 5 additional beautiful log cabins, from what I understand, all available for reservation! I could envision a family reunion here, or a group of close friends renting each and every one, to enjoy their own private, natural setting, in a beautiful region of a beautiful State, Michigan. I would be remiss if I did not say some words about the owner. Harold was a gentleman and a great host. He was responsive, conscientious, respectful of your privacy, and a downright good person. Thank you for your hospitality, Harold. I will definitely be back."

"This cottage on Lake Avalon was very well suited for our family reunion. The kids and grandkids LOVED the water activity with an ample supply of fun (kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, the floating trampoline, canoe, etc) ...so much fun.The house worked out great with super fast and solid wi-fi, any kitchen utensil and dish you could ask for, 2 fridges, lots of towels, blankets, bed space, and bathrooms. Huge kitchen island for gathering :-)The outdoor space is king here, with the very large patio, and deck space, basketball area, ample parking, rear yard space, and a very nice large shallow area in the lake for the littles to safely splash around.Stephanie was VERY responsive before and during our stay.Also, the small town a few miles away has a wonderful grocery store with everything you could need.We all had a great time!"
