GREAT PLACE !!!
Had a great getaway weekend !!! The ow er Jeff meet us and took us up the mountain to the property in a snow storm. He went above and beyond the call of duty. Loved feeding the wood stove and got the place 80 degree inside, with 9 degree outside.
Had such a great time visiting this relaxing cabin in the woods. Having the grandkids "unplugged" for two days was HUGE! We really got to play and enjoy the outdoors. My only wish was that there was a creek or river closer to the home for the kids to play in. We hiked all over and couldn't find one. Jeff is a gracious host. There is a bit of a mouse problem though which is to be expected in the country. We had to move the traps away from the kids' reach. Not a big deal, just need to be aware.

Rural, Remote Getaway
If you're looking for a remote and private getaway, this is a decent cabin to rent. It is about 30-40 minutes away from town and other locations. It has the basics for kitchen and bath, but no internet service at the cabin and limited cell service. The heated kitchen and bath floors are a nice amenity.
We were a little disappointed overall. We were looking at two cabins and decided to rent this one because the owner indicated we could ride our ATV on the property. However, you could only really ride on the main road to/from the property. He told us that the cabin was surrounded by private property once we arrived and that there were no real trails on his actual property. In addition, the main heat source is the wood stove. My husband had asked for the fire to be started before we arrived, but it was not started. The wood under the deck was wet and we struggled keeping a decent fire going the first night. We had to run out and buy dry wood and starters for the following night. Finally, take note, the water is hard and smells very bad. Make sure you take bottled water with you for brushing your teeth, etc.
We were looking for a remote cabin for a quiet week in the woods. This was the perfect place! Jeff was an extremely good and responsive host. We really enjoyed our stay and would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for the same. Saw plenty of wildlife and did not hear a car or other person all week. Very nice place!
