"A lovely little cabin by a lake at the back of the owner's house (great distance between. Felt secluded and peaceful. Was great waking up and feeding the chickens, guinea fowl, geese and ducks with a cup of tea looking at the lake. A great spot to unplug and relax. Fully equipped with a fridge/freezer, central heating, cooker, kettle etc. a few more utensils would be handy. Highly recommend a stay here and the owners, Amanda and Barry are friendly, helpful and good folk."

"Living away from the area, we wanted a property that would allow us to bring our whole family together over Christmas, including 12 on Christmas day. Croxton House was the perfect location. Spacious but not overwhelming, a dining room big enough for what we needed, a location. That was rural but not too far from local amenities. Becky was a fabulous host, with subtle Christmas decorations and thoughtful additions, making sure we had enough of everything we needed to cater for Christmas. Our...
