"We had a wonderful stay in Penasco. The cottage is cute, cozy, and has everything you need for a visit of any length. The kitchen is well stocked as are the bathrooms and laundry. Internet is fast if you need to do some work or school. Easy drive to Sipapu and hiking trails; Santa Fe and other attractions are about an hour or so away, but the drive is very scenic. Highly recommended!"

"A group of four 60+ aged friends stayed for a week in early May. The cabin is at the end of a small county road and is beautifully appointed and decorated. It has convenient outdoor sitting areas in several locations. One bedroom is upstairs, and uneven flooring and step-ups can be challenging for mobility impaired persons. The hosts are very friendly and responsive. The cabin is equipped for comfort and convenience. It is located approximately halfway between Santa Fe and Taos. If you’re seeking a lovely place that is quiet with great local scenery, this is your spot! Wi-fi and Internet Tv keep you connected! I would strongly recommend this rental to anyone seeking a peaceful stay with convenient reach to other northern NM locales."

"Cute little house not too far from Sipapu and Taos. We had a group of 7 ppl and we all loved it. We got to see snowfall at the cabin and it was gorgeous, especially over the back yard. Everything was well stocked, we love having the washer and dryer and the wood stove was nice as well. There isn't a lot in the area so we cooked at the cabin a lot and the only thing we missed was a dishwasher. The host are awesome and readily available if you need anything. We would definitely stay again if in the area."

"As returning guests this was yet another memorable vacation. The hosts went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and cared for. The house was comfortable for a family of five and is located conveniently close to Sipapu ski resort (it saves us from having to cross over to Taos through the pass every day, which shaves about 15’ each way)."

"Great property. Great hostess. Our family of 7 fit just fine. Nice views. Nice deck/porch areas. It’s about 10min to the Plaza in Taos and about 20min to Sipapu ski area, so the location was good for us. Winter weather was not a problem for access in our 2WD van (though, it does have snow tires). Kitchen was sufficient for cooking suppers at night. You can hear the rush of the nearby stream. Definitely a property to book again in the future."

"Our family just got home from an amazing and restful stay at Hilltop Hideout. We could not have found a more peaceful place to find rest as a family! The house has everything, all the way down to the smallest detail. We are so thankful for the memories made. If we make it back out to ski again next year (which we hope to do!) this will be our first option for lodging. Highly recommend!"
