Abbeyglen Castle was perhaps our favorite stay during our trip through Ireland. The room was spacious and elegant, the restaurant was great and our host (the hotel owner, very hands-on) made the stay very special and indeed joyful. He had a flair for conversation, humor and makes one feel like a long-lost friend. Don't miss his 600pm Prosecco hour - it was a great way to end a day. Truly a "must stay" recommendation!

What a wonderful hotel and stay! The atmosphere was cozy and fantastic. The staff was very welcoming, courteous, and hospitable. And, the location - being an actual castle in a beautiful setting - was superb. We also had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners/managers of the hotel. He kept looking after us and made us feel like long time friends. If you are planning a trip to Ireland, we recommend the breathtaking area of Conamara and a stay that unique and beautiful Abbeyglen Castle Hotel.

My husband and I stayed at Abbeyglen Castle for our five year wedding anniversary and had an amazing time! Ronan, one of the owners, was incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. The property is beautiful and so well maintained, our room was wonderful, and both dinner and breakfast were excellent. Such a special place to celebrate, and we will absolutely be back again!

Loved my stay here at Abbeyglen. Was fortunate enough to hear the history of the town as well as meet the owner. Only wish I had more time to stay at the castle. Food was amazing and the entire staff was very welcoming and accommodating.

A beautiful venue. I loved my room which had a canopied bed, large bathroom, and plenty of space. The staff was very friendly. Dinner was relaxed. I felt pampered and calmed being there.
