We had a great time, the cottage is cosy, had everything we needed and was exactly as described.
We had a great time, the cottage is cosy, had everything we needed and was exactly as described. The location is excellent, the pub and deli both serving good value and good quality food and drink. The Forest of Bowland is beautiful, go and explore the lovely villages with their cafes, pubs and walks. Everywhere is dog friendly. On top of that, The Dales, Pendle Hill and Clitheroe are not far away.

A good holiday cottage in the middle of the small town of Gisburn.
A good holiday cottage in the middle of the small town of Gisburn. Inside is very comfortable, with a large main living room, separate kitchen and 2 bedrooms. All furniture and equipment was clean and in good working order. Wendy, the owner, was very welcoming, and there were dog treats and towels set out for our young dog. The main road runs immediately outside, but road noise was not an issue and there was adequate parking for our car in front of the house. We booked at the last minute for an 'extended weekend break' and left relaxed and feeling like we'd had a proper holiday.

Wendy was such a lovely welcoming lady she left us a lovely welcome pack and dog treats such a lovely little place to stay just over the road was a wonderful deli, cafe shop brilliant welcoming people 3 doors down a pub a field not a couple of minutes away for dogs brilliant cottage for dogs so dog friendly it was amazing honestly my only downside was if dogs needed toilet you had nowhere to take them but behind pub or field no enclosed garden which truly is a shame because we really did love the cottage it's so welcoming and tranquil you couldn't ask for a better getaway place we loved it everything you actually needed they thought of was there shame no garden or for dogs to poop or wee closer that was a pain before bedtime
