"I must say I was a little iffy about a Motor Inn style property - at home they can be a little sketchy, but this property was by far one of my favorite places to stay!! Not only does the exterior scream New Mexico this little Jem had all the things!!! An outstanding and helpful staff, perfect little apartment style rooms with kitchen so that we could prepare our food, swimming pool for the Grands and clean rooms and comfortable bed! The property is older, but you can tell they pour love into it!! We loved the property and when we go back to visit our son we will for sure stay there again!!!!!"

"The hosts for this property are outstanding as is the facility. However, Spur Landing is an HOA style community that does not accept motorcycles. Neither street or dirt can be parked in front of the apt. Nor can you park a van or trailer. Everything has to be put in a tiny overflow parking area that might support 4 full size vehicles The other owners in Spur Landing are extremely rude when you park in front for 2 minutes to drop off an article of clothing. Very much a Boomer generation of Karens. So if you are going to Cloudcroft to ride motorcycles avoid this listing and I really hate to say that because everything else is so good."

"The Cottage Cabin was a delight to stay in for our trip to Cloudcroft! The beds were ultra-comfy and we slept wonderfully in the cool mountain air coming through the windows. The kitchen had just about anything you would need to prepare a meal or just heat of leftovers from one of the wonderful restaurants we frequented. Cloudy Market was a great place to pick up some groceries - it’s in town.The host, Sarah was very easy to work with and we had no trouble with either check-in or out.The visitors to this place were amazing….you open your door and just outside the porch you see deer and elk every morning- evenings too. As you drive you have to go slow - not just because it’s a gravel road but because of the critters you run across!I named the deer in the living room Frank - so if you choose this place to stay please tell Frank “Hi” from Mike, Marianne and Bailey!"
