The sofa is stained and the carpets are in need of a clean/renewal. But we'd still come back again. The fittings are modern, the location is peaceful and local amenities are just a short walk away. "Just spent 4 nights at this lovely cottage. The cottage was very spacious for the 5 of us and everywhere was very clean. Very high standard equipment with everything that we needed eg washing machine, dishwasher etc. The weather was pretty poor but the cottage was cosy to return to, and the log burner was brilliant. Laura was helpful with any queries we had, and left a welcome pack. Plenty of walks in the local area. 2 good pubs in the next village, and Kirkby Stephen less than a 10 minute...

"It's a beautiful area with stunning scenery just a short drive away. The house itself has so much character with a lovely large kitchen/dining area and big lounge. The garden is beautiful too - quiet and enclosed. We loved that you could walk to Kirkby Stephen over Frank's Bridge, which we did quite often. All in all, we had a lovely weekend."

"delightful and charming. lovely cottage. not sure what others had to complain about as we arrived to find the cottage warm and cosy. in fact if anything we had to turn the temperature down. we had a lovely views of the flowing beck and three cows and three ducks. locals were very friendly and the local pub the George was reasonable and generous proportions. haddock and chips take away at an amazing £7.45 was an absolute winner. the welcome pack was the best we have seen with the addition of an...
