"My husband and I had a fantastic 3 night stay. The hosts made us feel very welcome and were more like friends by the end of our stay. We chose a full English breakfast every day which you pre order from a checklist the previous evening. It was consistently good. Cooked to perfection and well presented. Bedroom and ensuite bathroom were very clean and fresh. The location is excellent. Just a short walk to town and the Pier and other attractions. We will definitely stay there again when we are in the area. Thanks!!"

"This was our second stay at Wivenhoe House Hotel and we will definitely hope to stay again. The first time we stayed in the main house, and the second time in the new extension, and both times the rooms were fantastic, every amenity supplied and excellent service from the staff in both housekeeping and the restaurant. Only an overnight stay but so relaxing, thank you."

"Very pleasant hotel and lovely owners and staff. An old building with character features but clean and tidy. The room was large with a huge double bed, TV, tea & coffee making facilities and a small fridge. The bathroom was modern clean and tidy with lots or towels, but beware the seagulls are noisy if you have your window open. The breakfast was good with a large selection of fruit, cereals or cooked. There is parking outside and it is only a short walk to the Clacton Pier and Beach and Preso's Restaurant."

"I’ve just returned from this lovely place . Lovely staff and so friendly. Thanks Debbie Room was clean and spotless me and my nephew ate at the restaurant and must say what lovely food Plenty to choose from Danielle was serving and what a lovely person she is to. Also, there’s a beer garden which had the lovely weather for it to sit in. Definitely recommend this place if your local to Thorpe le soken And definitely would return if need be. Thankyou Malcolm b"

"Nice old style hotel overlooking the sea. Friendly staff and room I stayed in was very spacious. Room although beautiful view looking out towards the sea and big bathroom and plenty of storage, there was a smell of stale smoke which wasn’t a major issue just didn’t smell fresh in the room! Hotel offers breakfast and there is a bar but the ‘Famous’ Fish and Chips restaurant has long gone. Less than 5 mins walk to pier and other restaurants. Being an old hotel noisy upstairs above room when people walking about however you in a hotel so this is to be expected! Would recommend you check this hotel out as price very resonable for what you got and location."
