We thoroughly enjoyed our few days with our dog in this lovely property. The location is perfect for exploring the delightful village. The accommodation is cozy and comfortable. And the owner is extremely welcoming and helpful.
Fabulous location in the most charming village I have come across. Very spacious accommodation and super comfortable bed. Lovely touch by Tori with fresh flowers and scones and jam for our arrival. If we have the opportunity to return we will definitely book again.
Torie, the host, was very friendly and helpful. The Property has a well equipped kitchen. There is plenty of space in the living area and bedroom.
Parking in the public car park nearby was easy with the App.
Coggeshall is a beautiful, quaint, characterful town whilst still being easily accessible to larger roads. There are walks from the front door.
Lovely homely property in the centre of Coggeshall
We were looking for a dog-friendly base over the Christmas period to visit local family in Coggeshall. The bakehouse was lovely and homely with a fantastically equipped kitchen where we were able to host the all-important Christmas day lunch. The superking bed was probably one of the comfiest my wife and I have ever slept on and the linen was of the highest quality. I don't often sleep well in new places but I slept like a log in this massive, soft, warm bed.Our 19-year-old daughter was happy on the sofa bed and the downstairs stairgate meant our dog could just sleep in the kitchen in front of the electric radiator.Everything was of the highest quality and it our first experience of branded hand soap which was a really nice touch as were the arrival scones.I really couldn't fault anything and we will certainly look to stay there again in the future.
Needed somewhere to stay that was commutable to Basildon for our specific needs , dog friendly and a place to de stress. Couldn't have found a more lovely place. As all the reviews have said it was simply immaculate, the bed linen smelt heavenly and was so comfortable.
The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to self cater and even has a little store cupboard of spices and condiments for your use. A lovely bag of scones and jams were left for us on the table on arrival, fresh flowers and heaters left on so that the home was lovely and toasty.
We knew nothing about Coggeshall until we arrived and couldn’t believe what a stunning place it is. This property is really well located right in the hub of everything with easy access to pubs n shops and fabulous takeaways.
Parking near the property wasn’t a problem as plenty of spots to find around the village and then the nearby car park as needed.
Torie and her husband made us all feel so welcome and communication was brilliant so highly recommend this gem of a place.
A beautifully appointed previous Bakehouse in the historic village of Coggeshall in Essex.
Very convenient in every way.

found this cottage when searching for accommodation with parking so was surprised to find we were expected to unload and move the car to a nearby pay and display carpark when we arrived. bizarrely there are two lists of amenities on the website the one I had seen before the trip said "Parking on sight" whist the second less noticeable one explains that there is no parking for guests. I suppose technically there is parking on sight but it seams dishonest to advertise that if it is not available to the customer.
A very pleasant and relaxing break in a lovely village.W
We really enjoyed our time in the cottage which was very comfortable, clean and well presented. It was very close to the shops and pubs. Highly recommended.
Had a lovely stay, good size kitchen, living room and bedroom.
Enjoyed sitting in the garden that was reserved for guests.
Hosts were very pleasant and helpful.
If you like history, nature, beautiful old villages, and the sea nearby, this is a great place to visit.
