"Our group of 22 take a Labor Day trip every year and it's hard to find a house that can house all of us, keep the children interested and is comfortable enough for the adults. This place checks all of these boxes! The beach was clean and wonderful for the kiddos. Great for kayaking and paddleboarding but also calm enough for some light swimming! We were able to bike to the community pool which was lovely. The town of Montross was very quaint and bustling during the First Friday's event.We loved this house and the location and the host was very accommodating! We will be booking this again in the future!"

"My multigenerational family of 9 adults & 2 kids were thoroughly happy in this rental. The outside was surrounded by gorgeous water views and the inside had a large kitchen to cook all the crabs & fish we caught! There are multiple nooks to get comfy in to unwind solo as well as large areas to gather all together. We’ve rented many vacation homes and this was the first that customized the entry combination to the last 4 digits of my cellphone. Nice touch for those renters wondering who else has access. We recommend wholeheartedly!!!"

"Overall we had a great stay. Hot tub and dock were nice. The owners have updated the listing to reflect some changes that we weren’t aware of but the upgraded flat top grill was nice and clean. We loved the beach for our grandchildren and the yard was beautiful. We loved the views and watching the boaters."

"This was my first VRBO experience and I loved how easy it was. The cottage is rustic and simple but that’s exactly what I was looking for. I ended up not making it to the winery, but it was an easy drive into Colonial Beach and over to George Washington’s birthplace. And a cozy place to curl up and read during the afternoon thunderstorm!"
