"What a wonderful time spending several days with Isabella and Marco in their beautiful home. They could not have done more to make my stay comfortable, enjoyable and hospitable. They will welcome you into their home from the moment you arrive until you depart. I especially loved their delicious breakfast on the terrace! Rocca San Giovanni is very convenient to Fossacessia Marina where you can park your car, go to the beach ot rent a bike and drive the bike path to Ortona. Or even drive over to Lanciano. Cinque Stelle!!!"

"Stayed in the Iris for 6 nights and it was fantastic, upon arrival the front desk was more than helpful and the English they spoke was great. The room was very good with a very big walk in shower, breakfast was great with a wide range of cakes, buns along with cold meats, cheese, cereal and eggs and bacon upon asking. Tea, coffee and juices were also to hand. The staff throughout the stay were friendly and very helpful. What a great hotel this was and I would recommend this to anyone who's wanting to stay in a great centrally located hotel."

"It was an excellent hotel. Clean,friendly, and the food was excellent. Service was excellent. It came with buffet breakfast collezione. They offered Pensione for lunch and dinner which is choice in meals for a set price which included wine. It was 20 euro a person. We would return there again. We highly recommend Hotel Sporting!"

"We love this charming hotel built into medieval stone and very close to the Maiella mountains! Staff were excellent esp Eugene who can converse in English well, very generous of his time and provided excellent service throughout as well as Petra who was so funny and kind - both made the pleasant stay even better! Food was fantastic with breakfast having a great selection of both savoury and sweet treats. The only problem was the lack of airconditioning (there was a stand fan) in the room making sleep almost unbearable as we came at the hottest time of the year. No wifi in the room meant we had to do our logistics planning in the restaurant in the same building, just incovenient. Other than that, we will come back in a heartbeat! "

"Under the radar front entrance but very comfortable rooms. Very walkable to the beach and other beach activities. "

"Our room did not include beach access which was an additional 20 euros. Had problems with AC and window blinds. Staff tried hard to make things ok. Breakfast was average."

"We stayed here on a road trip through Italy. Our host was the best host we had on the whole trip! She greeted us at the front door helped us park and gave us the full tour of the property. After that she gave us the most amazing list of places to go and see , we did them all and were blown away by the history the area has ! Our room was as big as our apartment back in the uk with everything we could ever wish for. The bed was comfy and the bathroom and whole property was sparkling clean. We went upstairs and sat on the roof terrace for a good few hours just taking in the incredible views and enjoying the silence of being in the mountains. Our host booked us a table at a local restaurant that was recommended and it was a great meal in a great environment. You can tell there is a close community in this area , everyone was so nice ! Parking was on the street for free, very close to the property We would stay here again, it is an incredibly beautiful part of the world "
