Fun for the whole family, a romantic get-a-way or girls weekend. We have it all

PICK ME! PICK ME! Chip Loves company. This cute little cottage is nestled in between St. Joseph (9 miles south) and South Haven(12 miles north) along the Lake Michigan shoreline. It is one mile south of Roadside park and one mile north of Hagar Park. These public beaches are surprisingly secluded and wooded in what guests have described as a diamond in the rough. There is plenty to do in both directions. Chip's Place is a cozy Family friendly cottage. We are NOT large enough for parties inside or outside. We have taken great pride and care to create an experience for our guests that will create happy memories of the cottage by the big Lake.
Chip's has one central air conditioner in the main room that keeps the entire cottage cool and both bedrooms have ceiling fans.
Guests' enjoy activities in the surrounding communities for year long adventures.
We have received high marks for decor, activities, amenities and cleanliness!
There is one camera in front as added security for the parking area.

Very cute, clean and comfortable! All the extras were present and needed. The outside could use tiny touches of refreshing but this was one of our favorite places we’ve stayed. We like how it’s close to St. Joseph, Coloma and South Haven.

Perfect getaway weekend

My sister and I stayed here for a relaxing weekend. The house was perfect and had literally everything we needed. The location was great as well. The smores were the perfect touch to end our evenings by the fire.

Dawns cottage was perfect for my family’s Lake Michigan trip. It is centrally located near all the cute towns to visit and quick drives to all the beach accesses. It was super well stocked which was very nice of Dawn. Beds were super comfy too!

Perfect Getaway Cottage!

Dawn's property was just right for our family of three, perfectly sized, thoughtful details, and a well stocked kitchen and laundry area. Dawn was very responsive to every message I sent. Coloma is an adorable area, off the beaten path of St Joe and Benton Harbor - we enjoyed every meal we had at various restaurants and Hagar Beach was perfectly sized for us. Thank you, Dawn!

Very cute and quiet stay!

Dawn’s place is amazing! It was very well stocked and clean. It was right in between St. Joseph and South Haven, each about a 15 minute drive. We visited the nearby beaches (about 3 min drive) and they were nice and not busy. Would definitely recommend!

Just what we were looking for

A friend and I had a weekend stay to relax. It was quiet, clean and exactly as represented. The location was perfect for all of our activities; beach, St.Joe's farmer's market, shops, restaurants and wineries.

Small but perfect for get away

This cabin was clean (except for cobwebs in corners) and inviting. It was easy to find but a good drive to downtown for dinner or shopping. The nearby beach was down a tall stairway - Not easy for a family carrying more than chairs, bags & small cooler. Chip's place was a great value.

Sisters visit

We enjoyed our stay - the place was super clean. We enjoyed all the extras - donuts etc. I wish that there would have been ice in the frig. and a mirror in the bedroom so more that one person can get ready for an outing at a time. Thanks for a great stay.

cute getaway place

The 2-bedroom home worked out very well for us. Place is cute, updated and clean. Nice dining area and living room. The only negative I have is not with the home but location. Beaches are a close drive but hard to get down to beach if you are older. But those hidden away spots are really nice to have in such close proximity to this home.

Perfect Getaway

My daughter and and her two year old son wanted a short getaway to Lake Michigan. It was perfect,it is small quaint cottage It is very clean and very well kept. Dawn keeps it well supplied with snacks and s'mores which were an extra special treat for my grandson who never had one before. It is close to Coloma a very nice town and also close to St Joes. The beaches are beautiful. We spent our beach time at Hagar Park and were very please. All in all only good things to say and we hope to visit again Joanne F

Absolutely perfect!!

Chip's Place was fantastic! So close to Hagar Park Beach, South Haven, St. Joseph. Dawn was wonderful to work with and answered all my questions promptly. The house was stocked with everything you could possibly need. Coffee, tea, s'mores fixings, snacks, condiments, bathroom items. It was literally perfect for me, my 4 year old daughter, and my sister in law to spend the weekend. You will definitely not be disappointed with this place. We just loved it!!

Welcoming beach house

My kids and I had a delightful stay at Chip's place. The house was conveniently close to the lake but tucked away from the hustle and bustle. We found ourselves just a mile away from two different beach parks, each offering private-like beach access. When we craved a larger beach experience, South Haven and St. Joe were within an easy drive. The house itself was warm and inviting, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully stocked. We spent quality time playing board games and my daughter even dove into a couple of books from the shelves. While we didn't use the backyard much, it was a nice space with firewood and a pit. Despite the 4th of July festivities, the neighborhood remained peaceful. We're already looking forward to returning for another stay! 🏡🌟
