"We came in very late from the airport and they were able to get us in late (after midnight). Great breakfast the next day. Overall the room was more spacious than we expected and was such a great value as the price included breakfast for all 6 of us. Great entry into Costa Rica for us. The security the night before and the restaurant staff were top notch!!"

"Edward kicked our trip off to a great start! As a single mom traveler I worried about a lot but Edward is amazing. He picked us up from the airport in the middle of the night. His place is close to the airport, it is clean, and has A/C. He even rented us a car! It’s nice and 4x4. I’m so grateful I found Edward. "

"This property is beautiful and quiet. It is about 15 minutes away from the airport. What makes it even more pleasant is the wonderful owners who make your stay comfortable and relaxed. The breakfast is great and they try their best to accommodate your needs. I definitely recommend Pibi boreal."

"The architecture was rustic mid-century modern and the grounds were absolutely beautiful. The firestoves in the side reading rooms made the atmosphere cozy while the large viewing windows gave us the feeling that we were sitting outside with the sweeping views. Fireflies at nite off the garden room was magical. Staff Andrew and Javier were wonderful. The lodge was super close to Poas Volcano NP and an easy drive early in the morning and the staff worked with us to get breakfast to us quickly that morning so we could make our 8am Poas reservation. Could improve: 1. We could not reach the lodge directly to ask questions and to make a reservation either through the website or through the phone number. We ended up going through Expedia. 2. The room (#4) was amazing but had a musty smell 3. The time from ordering dinner at the lodge to the time it was served was an hour. The food was really delicious (chicken with mushrooms and seabass with mango -- it was just a long wait. The lodge is unique and lovely and we highly recommend staying here. "

"The stay was good. Had a bit of a hostel vibe to it. The staff was friendly and informative. It was great for a nights stay. Breakfast was decent the next morning as well. For a pre and post flight hotel it works great. Keep in mind there isn’t any A/C so the rooms can get quite hot. "
