"Very nice hotel on the beach with a pool that we had to ourselves the whole week. The only thing i didnt like were the picnic tables outside our room because other people would sit there at 6am in the morning and late at night smoking which we smelled in our room, talking, laughing and coughing so loud that they woke us up every morning. We are on vacation and prefer not to get woken up that early. Very annoying. And the people at the front desk barely speak english which is also annoying. Loved watching the fireworks from the hotel and there was also a carnival right behind us that was nice. We will be back! "

"The house is lovely, with a kitchen dreams are made of — great for cooking, conversing, and eating. Tons of space, everything you could possibly need to cook or bake, and plenty of storage in the cabinets and pantry for all your snacks and ingredients.The fire pit in the front yard was perfect for roasting marshmallows (the provided camp chairs and corn hole set made it even better), and the picnic table next to the grill was great for sitting outside while the burgers were on. The private dock is lovely and well maintained, with stairs down to the shoreline, and great for fishing or just relaxing. Plus, the front porch and balcony are well situated to enjoy the sunrise or just sit and watch the boats — and even dolphins! — go by. If the weather’s not cooperating, the sun room’s a comfortable substitute with the same great view. It’s about a mile from the main beaches and commercial areas of Colonial Beach, so it’s much quieter (when there aren’t people shooting off their leftover 4th of July fireworks ), but you’ll likely want to bike or drive to restaurants or the beach. Book your golf cart well in advance!We had an issue with the water heater at 10pm the night we arrived, but Dan responded within minutes and put us in touch with the property manager, who offered to come out despite the late hour. It ended up being a quick fix I could take care of, but it was great to know how attentive and responsive both the host and property manager were. Can’t wait to come back!"

"We had a family gathering in CB for the 4th of July and our son’s birthday. Kathy, the host was so friendly, accommodating, and responsive. The house was super clean, has lots of charm, was nice and cool, and the location was perfect. We loved sitting on the front porch and gazing at the water. The house is located super close to the beach, town, and the bay. We were so happy to be able have our dog join us in the house as well! This is a gem in sweet little Colonial Beach! "

"WOW!That just about sums up this property.Our stay was almost perfect (will mention a few negatives at the end of this review)The unit itself was very clean and pretty much matches the pictures in the listing. The beds were comfortable and the supplied linens and towels were very nice as well.The kitchen is well stocked as well.Courtney was a pleasure to deal with and there were no issues with check-in or anything else on her end.Only a couple minor issues (which would not stop us from visiting again)- there is a constant droning sound from the roof area above the master bedroom. I believe it is from the AC units that are on the roof (as well as the exhaust systems from the first floor restaurants) There is a sound machine included in that BR, but we sort of were able to just get 'used to it'.- You can hear the live music from the High Tides facility next door, but it does end at 11PM and with the windows closed it's not overbearing.- Lastly, the way they numbered the parking spots in the parking lot, makes no sense at all. The spot for this unit is in front of another stair case and not the stairs for this unit. Would love to hear the explanantion for why they numbered as they did.Anyway, as you can see, none of those issues are anything the owner has any control over.Definitely recommend staying here if in the area.Don't think you'll be disappointed.PS - the TV in the dining area does pull out from the wall, and can be angled towards the LR. Nice touch!"
