Truly Amazing Stay

The house and hosts were amazing! Our family of 4 stayed here for a week in July and there are so many wonderful things to say about this home and the hosts. From the stunning view of Pikes Peak off the enormous deck, the spacious kitchen, the built in movie theater room, the hot tub, steam shower, hidden closets and more we would go back in a heartbeat. The home was clean and the hosts were warm, friendly and attentive to every detail. We found a true gem in this home! Tucked away in the mountains for privacy yet close enough to every activity we enjoyed in Colorado. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Fantastic view, would return!

We had a great time in this house and the surrounding area. House held 4 adults and 2 kids quite well. The hot tub was put to good use and the location was good; did not have that long of a drive for activities nearby. The herb garden outside was an unexpected bonus.

Best Views of Pikes Peak and Mountain Range

The amenities were first rate from the grill to the deck to the hot tub, indoor seating and spacious rooms. Loved the indoor movie theater and breathtaking views from most all rooms in the house.

Beautiful holiday retreat

Immaculate! This may be the cleanest property we have ever stayed in. The kitchen was very well stocked. The home abounds with cool surprises in its design, and the views are absolutely stunning!!! We loved staying at this home!

This house lived up to all its 5-star ratings. Clean, well stocked, and responsive host! It is a great location - felt secluded yet convenient to so many must-see sights as well as necessities (grocery stores, etc.). We spent a lot of time on the deck with its amazing views, hot tub, and fire pit. Very glad we selected this house for our family vacation.

Great Mountain Retreat

We loved the castle! Everything about the house was exactly as described and the hosts could not have been friendlier or more responsive! It's the perfect distance from all of the attractions - Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, etc. -not so far to dissuade you from going or hearing "when are going to get there", yet far enough you get some quiet and seclusion. And the view is AMAZING! We highly recommend this retreat!

Christmas wonderland 2020

Amazing home and a great overall rental experience. We enjoyed Christmas 2020 at this property with some of the best Mountain View’s ever. The hot tub, steam shower, jacuzzi tub and wood burning fireplace made for maximum relaxation! Very difficult to leave or imagine staying anywhere else in Woodland Park.

Amazing stay in a beautiful house.

This is one of the nicest vacation rentals we've ever stayed in. Everything about this house is amazing-inside and out. We enjoyed sitting out on the beautiful deck, sometimes in the hot tub, with a view of Pike's Peak. The movie room with the reclining chairs and giant tv was used every night. All the tvs in the house have a Roku for streaming. We're ready to go back!

Awesome location and view

I highly recommend this property. The pictures online really don't do justice. It's in a great location just about a couple of minutes off the main road in Woodland Park. Very clean, and extremely well stocked home. Too many luxuries to list. Only thing that was missing was a king-sized bed for this Castle House.

Mountain Adventure

Our teen boys loved the hiking, biking and rafting the area had to offer. They also loved the game room and movie theater. The mountain view from the deck and hot tub was spectacular. The owner was responsive to any questions we might have. The house was stocked with many of the basic essentials we might need. Would definitely recommend.

Most unique and fun house we’ve ever stayed!

WOW! This house was amazing! From the spectacular Pikes Peak views in the relaxing hot tub to the comfy theater room..this home has it all! The owners were very quick to respond, however they labeled and stocked everything, so you never really needed to contact them. Could not say enough about this home, we plan to book again! We will miss you Old World Charm!

Amazing house, amazing view

This is a beautiful house with amazing views of Pikes Peak at a convenient drive to the Peak and to the CO Springs area. The house's decor was gorgeous and everything was well supplied. Dave was great about communication! We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen and the movie theater room was a ton of fun for video games and movies. The perfect size for five friends meeting up for a few days together.

Don't miss this Property!

We were going to be in the area on a business trip and came out a few days early. We found the "listing picture" and we jumped at the chance! When I say "what you see is what you get", just take me word for it. Absolutely beautiful views in a very private and quiet area that has its own hiking trails just a short walk away. We took advantage of everything we could and still feel like we must have missed something......The location is perfect for quick runs to the stores (less than a mile or so) - just do your shopping first because you are not going to want to get out of the hot tub for anything less than seeing the rest of this part of Colorado: Breckenridge, Canon City/Royal Gorge, parks galore - all within 90 minute drive or less. The only problem is having to leave this property to go somewhere else....We had to spend half of our time in Colorado at the Broadmoor (business). The resort is nice but doesn't have that Old World Charm. This place is awesome and has a lot of pleasant surprises inside (great for a family) or like us - very cozy for a couple. Don't waste your time looking, just book the place if its available........Very nice Hosts are quick to help if needed. Have fun!

King of your own castle

What a magical property! Cancel your spa appointments and use the hot tub, master bathtub, and steam shower with rain shower and multiple sprayers. We ended every night in the hot tub and then cozied up under the starry ceiling theater. In the morning we woke up to deer walking through the property. What makes this property even better are Dave and Leslie who take great care of you. Our first night we got in extremely late and the next morning woke up to quite a bit of snow that we weren't prepared for. They thoughtfully brought us food to tide us over until we could get out. The house has everything you could possibly need and the best kitchen set up we've had in a rental. The guys enjoyed the arcade table and I loved sitting on front of one of the many fireplaces reading and taking in the views. We were lucky enough to see Woodland Park covered in snow which made the views even more magestic. The town is close enough to Colorado Springs and Canon City to use as a home base. If you are planning on visiting any of these areas just do yourself a favor and give this house a try.

Living your best life... under the stars, sunrise, sunsets and breathtaking views!

This is our 2nd time staying at this home and again it was exactly what our family needed. Nature, relaxation, and witnessing the most amazing sunrise and sunsets! This home is like heaven ... on a mountain! The mountain views from the decks and large windows inside offer stunning unobstructed views. The "Old World Charm” had such a cabin feel, but with all the comforts of a home. The house is located in a great location close enough to amenities (grocery store, fitness center, restaurants, hiking trails, Colorado Wolf Adventures, and Colorado Springs. Also, the wildlife at the home is abundant but we especially enjoyed the deer coming right up to the wrap-around deck each morning and evening without a care in the world. We took advantage of all the amenities which ranged from the Master steam shower, Theatre room with leather reclining chairs and stars on the ceilings, Hot Tub under the stars, Indoor wood-burning fireplaces, Video Games (80’s Arcade Style), numerous areas of outdoor sitting and lastly the owners; Dave and Leslie were fantastic hosts. They were attentive, responsive, and accommodating. We could not be happier that we spent our vacation in this wonderful home and definitely recommend it. I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Spectacular Home

This home exceeded all expectations. It is easy to find and access. It is close to the entrance to Pikes Peak and a short drive to downtown Colorado Springs. Photos truly cannot do it justice. There are thoughtful details throughout the house that had us taking notes for our future home. We arrived at the house right before sunset and elected to skip dinner that evening because we were enjoying exploring the house so much! We ended up going to the nearby WalMart for groceries to be able to spend more time at the house instead of eating out - not our typical plan on vacation! The view from the decks is breathtaking and the large windows offer excellent views, even from inside. We loved the user-friendly theater room with comfy seating and twinkling star lights. We also enjoyed looking through the memorobilia in the Olympic themed game room. We took advantage of relaxing in the hot tub every evening under the stars. The master suite was wonderful. The fireplace can be enjoyed from the sitting area of the master bedroom or while soaking in the deep spa tub. We honestly couldn't ask for a better vacation spot and highly recommend it. Stay here if you can, you won't be disappointed!

Beyond our expectations!

We had such an incredible stay at this Woodland Park property. We have stayed in this area many times before, but this home outshines all others. While the pictures of the property are great, they just don’t do this home justice. The home was absolutely beautiful and unique. The amenities were abundant and made it hard to leave. We really enjoyed watching movies in the theater room. All of the details in that room created a genuine experience! Also, the views of Pike’s Peak and the nice hot tub made for a great time outdoors. Sunrises and sunsets from the deck are a must to experience. Deer came up to visit a few times, which our son adored. There were lots of other wildlife as well, such as chipmunks, spotted towhees, black-billed magpies, stellar’s jays, and black-capped chickadees. The amazing library was a favorite for simultaneous reading and gorgeous views. We also loved that the property felt private, but was so close to the conveniences of stores and restaurants. There are so many things to do nearby for those wanting to sightsee. The Garden of the Gods, Cave of the Winds, and the Dinosaur Resource Center (not just a tourist trap) are all close and full of history. The owners made sure that you have everything you could possibly want and need at this magnificent property. We highly recommend staying here and will be back!

Excellent stay in the castle!

We had an amazing time staying at The Castle! The home was beautiful, with gorgeous views of Pike’s Peak. From the moment we walked in we were relaxed and in awe. We were even greeted with balloons as the hosts knew we were celebrating a milestone birthday. It was such a sweet touch and really kicked off an incredible week. I can’t recommend staying here enough and hope to come back in the future!
