The space looks very cute but unfortunately this rental was not ready for guests - curtains, chairs missing, lamps unplugged, smoke alarms beeping. Significant mildew issues in closet and bathroom should have been resolved before listing this rental. This listing is run by a management company so we communicated with at least 2 different intermediaries. They were responsive but needed to go to management or maintenance teams for information. They did offer a partial refund when we spend our first hours of our stay disarming multiple chirping smoke alarms in our rental as well as the sister unit of the townhouse. If these things are addressed, it’s got potential with a safe neighborhood, park and commercial streets in walking distance.

The listing photos made it appear much nicer, but in person it feels like cosmetic fixes were used to cover much larger underlying issues. The home seems very old and poorly maintained, with surface-level renovations done mainly for appearance. The house was dusty throughout, including the walls and trim, and my friend’s feet were black after walking barefoot. Several lights did not work, and we were told to trip the breaker ourselves, which should not be expected of guests. The basement, where the laundry is located, was especially concerning — it looks like years of dirt and debris have accumulated there, making us uncomfortable about linens being washed in that space. The bedroom closet smells strongly of mildew and is unusable for storing clothes or luggage. There are also multiple maintenance issues: the bathroom faucet hot/cold are reversed, the dishwasher moves when opened, the toilet shifts when sitting on it, and the shower setup causes water to spill onto the floor while the curtain constantly touches you.The overall appearance is disappointing, with stained curtains, poor paint work, broken frames, exposed plumbing, and damaged curtain rods visible throughout the home.Noise a major issue. There is a dumpster and porta potty directly outside, and because the property uses window AC units, it sounds like the windows are open. We can clearly hear people talking doors slamming, garbage pickup at 2am, and Sunday morning market setup. Fan has to be ran to drown out

Pictures on website look much brighter than actual thing. Dust in corners and baseboards. No rugs where shown in pictures except under small table. Basement where laundry is located is disgusting. I was actually afraid to walk down the steps at first. It looks like they throw any extra boxes etc down there and there was dirt and spiderwebs all over. Old shower curtain in bathroom closet. Curtains that were torn down by other guests also in cabinet. Kitchen was nice. Room air conditioner was very noisy and woke me up every time it went on. House located in Nice area. Wish the house was kept up better.
