The place is rundown and in a not so good area. Stayed 2 nights and the pool was closed the whole time which was a bummer since we had kids with us. The free breakfast wasn't much...cereal and coffee that was terrible. We had 2 rooms and were traveling with other family members who also had 2 rooms and their rooms smelled like mildew. TV was messed up, looked like it should've come with 3D glasses. Housekeepers clean rooms with the door closed and my son's dufflebag was tampered with (as far as he could tell, nothing was stolen). Best part of the place was the girl at the front desk at check in was nice and the pretty blue they chose for the accent wall in the rooms.

Un sanitary pool not in service Horrible experience we bought cleaning products & disinfectant the room first 20 minutes after a flight and waiting for our rental we couldn't shower that night and no clean towels until 12 noon the following day which I checked out after establishing a new reservation that I had to put unexpected money out in order to enjoy my vacation with a clean Hotel to shower in and relax without risking respiratory issues! My daughter coughed the entire night and evety time we entered the hotel rooms Yes we had the experience of two of your rooms I didn't expect 4 Star but I did expect a nice , clean room with clean beddings and towels!

The staff were polite. However the actual rooms have not had a remodel since the 1990's or earlier. The fixtures in the tub were pulled from the mounts, the wi-fi is substandard, and the floor was not carpet but something else that was sticky and retained dirt. I will not stay at a Howard Johnsons again.

I purposefully booked this hotel to use the pool. We were traveling to celebrate a graduation for my nephew from boot camp and had planned a family day by the pool for the fun. Unfortunately I was notified only 2 hours before I was to arrive that the health inspector had not completed their annual review so the pool was not open. This should have been made notice on all of the hotels advertising including Hotels.com. The staff was helpful in getting my pre check in done on the phone which is when I was notified about the pool. The hotel was well enough for a quick stay but failed to meet my needs. We also had no time to rebook anywhere else due to it so were stuck with what we had. The staff also indicated that they had communicated multiple times with the health inspector office and that they simply keep cancelling their visit for whatever reason. Hence the reason for the 4 stars instead of flat 1 star review. The hotel was trying, it is just GA public service at its finest.

I loved this hotel. Had everything i needed. It was clean and comfortable. The associate at the desk, Jacqueline, was really cool. She was very professional with a great sense of humor, she was my first impression of the hotel, and it turned out to be very good. Thank you!!
