The one thing was that a ground light used to illuminate the building shined directly in my window and the light was not blocked out by the black out curtains. As someone who can only sleep in pitch dark, this was annoying. But this is easily overshadowed by how great the hotel was. "

"My husband and I can’t say enough good things about this place! We’re already thinking about trying to book it in the fall. We loved disconnecting from the world and connecting with nature here- there was so much wildlife and it was just so peaceful. The dogs loved running through the woods, hiking, swimming and “helping” us fish- they were exhausted at the end of each day! The cabin is absolutely perfect and is what a cabin should be: simple yet completely comfortable. The design of the cabin, intimate size, comfy beds, cozy furniture, hot tub, outdoor shower, hammock, fire pit and other amenities were everything we could have wanted in a cabin getaway. We caught a lot of fish just from the dock but also enjoyed using the boats to explore the lake and fish in other areas. We are already recommending this place to our friends! We don’t have kids but it seemed like there were a lot of fun things for kids there. But if you’re a couple just looking to spend quality time with each other while unplugging and enjoying solitude then definitely rent this cabin for a long weekend!"
