A Beautiful Place of Relaxation

Raphaël and Eriminia were so welcoming from the time that we booked, to check in as well as so helpful during our stay. They went above and beyond! We felt like family to them. The view from this location is breathtaking and perfect for a relaxing getaway. Definitely encourage a stay!

Extraordinary stay

My partner and I really loved our stay. It was a lovely place and Raffaele and Erminia were perfect hosts. So kind, available and genereous. They showed us around Conca dei Marini, gave us plenty of information to facilitate our travel around Amalfi Coast, and they even drove us in the morning 3 times to Amalfi, when we had booked boats or other things planned. Thank you so much Raffaele and Erminia for everything. We had appreciate it a lot and we definitely recommand to book at their place. :)

I can say easily this was one of our best stay ever. The apartment is really comfy, the terrace is amazing with view to the sea and the Amalfi Coast, it has everything you need to cook and a washing machine. Conca dei Marini is a nice quiet town, with 2 nice restaurants near the apartment (you can go by walk) and down the coast please visit Capo di Conca (the best beach we went in the Amalfi Coast). Our amazing say wasn't be possible without Raphaël, he waits for us in the bus station in Amalfi, then take the time to explain to us everything in the quick trip to Conca, he was really nice and always answer our question during the stay. Definitely, you should rent this apartment.

Dream Vacation

Raffaele is a superb and attentive host. His communication and response was outstanding from the moment we arrived. He met us at the Amalfi bus station then provided a short tour of the area on the way to the apartment. Raffaele went the extra mile to be sure we felt welcome and enjoyed our stay. The apartment is spotless, pleasant, updated, well equipped and comfortable. It has a spectacular view and there are a couple of local stores and eateries. It is a very convenient location to easily access public transportation and tour the entire area and beyond. We easily made our way to shop + dine in Amalfi, visit Minori, Isle of Capri, Positano + the Pompeii ruins.

Fabulous apartment, stunning views and great hospitality!

Ok, so firstly let me say that this apartment looks great on the listing, but the reality is so much better than pictures can convey! The apartment sits on the hillside away from the road and there's a secure garage which is a big benefit. We found the accommodation clean, spacious and well appointed. Satellite TV and wifi were a welcome addition, if only to fill the time waiting for my wife to get ready to go for dinner! The terrace is a lovely suntrap and a great place for sunbathing or eating. From here you get views over Amalfi, Salerno, the surrounding mountains and coast that are simply breathtaking. It's worth getting up early just to see the sunrise over the mountains! Even though our arrival was quite late in the evening, we were met and welcomed to the apartment. The owner, Raffaele is an excellent host and ambassador for the local area, going out of his way to ensure that we really got the most our of our holiday, introducing us to a number of local facilities, hotels (with pools), restaurants, shops etc that we may not have otherwise found. We would definitely recommend this place!

What a magical immersion into local Italian culture

We were looking for a relaxing base camp to explore the Amalfi coast. Your reward for lots of stairs will be unrivaled views, the simplicity of life in Conca dei Marini and the authenticity of the local culture. The apartment was immaculately clean and exactly as advertised. One of the main reasons we chose the location was because of the ratings of the host, Raffaele- he did not disappoint. He goes well above expectations - picked us up from the ferry, introduced us to shop and restaurant owners, and escorted us on a quick tour of the area. Our best VRBO experience to date. (cooking class at La Bonta del Capo the local restaurant is a must). Driving is an adventure on the Amalfi coast so we opted to use the bus and ferries. It worked fine- a bit more involved from Conca dei Marini but you have the benefit of not being in all the hoards of tourists. This, for us, was the perfect holiday. Immersion in local culture and food, and relaxing in a beautiful setting away from the hustle of tourism. We are pleased to have made new friends and will definitely be returning.

Perfect in Conca dei Marini

Over the years we have stayed at many VRBOs. And generally those have been good experiences. This VRBO in Conca dei Marini was great. And a huge factor in that was the host, Erminia. We do not speak Italian. We did not have a car. We had not been to the Amalfi coast before. No matter -- Erminia had our backs; everything from driving us to get groceries, to explaining how the local transit works, to providing information and recommendations regarding local restaurants. We can't thank her enough. The apartment is up 64 stairs from the street -- not too bad given that this is the Amalfi coast. Spacious and immaculately clean, the unit works for a couple. The kitchen has the essentials for making breakfast and a light lunch. The mattress in the bedroom is excellent. The patio/veranda is spacious and has a fantastic view of the Amalfi seacoast. One additional thought... Conca dei Marini, like many of the towns on the Amalfi coast is near vertical. If you do not have a car (and the courage to drive it) you might have some transportation challenges. The public bus system (SITA) goes horizonal in this vertical town, i.e. it will take you to Amalfi, but not around Conca dei Marini. So be prepared to explore this neughbourhood on foot -- bearing in mind, as you navigate the maze of stairways, that what goes down must go back up.

The best hosts in a beautiful city!

Erminia and Raphael were friendly and extremely helpful. Whether helping with luggage or directions, to offering a ride to Amalfi, they truly went above and beyond. Erminia had fresh eggs from her chickens. Raphael invited us to the restaurant her manages and took amazing care of us. The apartment is well equipped with Italian mocha pot coffee maker which Raphael was kind enough to show me how to use. We visited their cousins cafe a short walk, by the cities standards, for Espresso, fresh squeezed orange juice and delicious pastries. Cabo dei Marini is a gem of a city waiting to be explored. You will “earn” your breakfast, lunch and dinner if you walk and explore. There is an intracity cab that my family took once. It is quite the hike down to the Mediterranean probably 500 feet below with likely more than 500 stairs. Going down isn’t bad but going up you will have a serious workout in. There are 53 steps to the apartment off the street below. So you will need to be able to handle that even if you take buses or the intracity van. I would certainly go back and loved being in the slightly slower town as Positano and Amalfi were much more crowded. Also do yourself a favor and visit Le Bonta del Capo. Chef Fiore is personable. I took his 4-5 cooking course and loved the experience. He made it very fun and informative and you get to eat your hard work with an enjoyable lunch. The couples that I took the class with also took his Limoncello class and enjoyed it.

Wir haben uns in Raffaeles Appartement rundum wohlgefühlt. Die Terrasse ist ein echtes Highlight - mit einem atemberaubenden Blick auf das Meer und den Sonnenaufgang, der jeden Morgen zu einem besonderen Moment macht. Den Strommasten, der die Sicht etwas einschränkt, blendet man am besten aus - die Schönheit der Umgebung überstrahlt ihn mühelos. Raffaele ist ein Gastgeber mit großem Herz. Schon bei der Ankunft wurden wir herzlich empfangen und - wie in anderen Bewertungen erwähnt - mit hilfreichen Informationen zu Bushaltestellen, Supermarkt, Restaurant, usw. versorgt. Diese persönliche Geste macht den Einstieg in den Urlaub besonders angenehm. Auch darüber hinaus war Raffaele jederzeit hilfsbereit und präsent. Das Appartement selbst ist zwar etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber das tut dem Wohlfühlfaktor keinen Abbruch. Besonders geschätzt haben wir den Insektenschutz an Fenstern und Türen. Die Ausstattung ist solide: eine Waschmaschine ist vorhanden, ein Geschirrspüler nicht. Die zur Wohnung gehörende Garage ist ein echter Pluspunkt, gerade in dieser Region. Insgesamt ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt, den wir gerne in Erinnerung behalten. Danke, Raffaele!

We had a wonderful stay at the Amalfi Coast House! It is a perfect home base to access all of the beautiful towns in the area - Conca Dei Marini, Amalfi, Positano to name a few. Rafaele is an amazing host - very kind and a perfect mix of being attentive and respectful of the guest’s privacy. We highly recommend this property.

Perfecto!

Modest apartment in the hills of the Amalfi coast, nestled atop stone steps with a beautiful view of the ocean. The beach was a 20 min walk down steps that cut through the hills with beautiful views at every corner. The room was clean and had everything you need. The host was very helpful and accommodating, always available by telephone call and ready to show you around. Highly recommend staying in Conca Dei Marini. It’s central to everything and nearby bus service takes you everywhere if you don’t feel like driving.

Amazing location, apartment and host

This was our 1st time on the Amalfi coast. We could not have found a better location or host. Rafael is a wonderful host and his apartment is beautiful, comfortable and peaceful. If you’re choosing between staying in Amalfi or Positano, you should choose the best of both worlds and stay in Conca dei Marini.

Paradise above the sea

Absolutely amazing. It was very relaxing, and the views were stunning! The apartment was perfect, very cozy yet spacious with lovely Italian charm. The kitchen was great!! Couldn't have asked for anything more! Raffaele was the perfect host! He went above and beyond. We highly recommend!

Magnifique terrasse entre mer et montagne

Appartement parfait pour 2 ou 3, très confortable et bien équipé, cocon idéal pour visiter la côte, soit en voiture grâce au garage fermé, soit en bus, l'arrêt est à 50m. On a apprécié la vue sur le golfe de Salerne, le village, et surtout l'accueil exceptionnellement sympathique et charmant de Raffaele. Son aide et ses conseils nous ont été très utiles pendant cette semaine de visites et promenades.

A wonderful visit to a charming village and an excellent host

My husband and I visited Conca Dei Marini for six nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Raffaele’s apartment. Firstly, Raffaele is an excellent host, answering inquiries prior to visit, providing advice on travel when our ferry was canceled, and on the amenities within walking distance and also how to travel by the Sita bus between villages/towns. The property is true to the views provided and I felt it actually seemed bigger than what I had thought and the huge amount of natural light and a nice size outdoor area both contributed to a very comfortable stay. The view is lovely from the deck and also while dining or preparing food. The property is clean with lots of storage closets and drawers in bedroom and bathroom. We were given a full overview of how everything worked including TV, washing machine etc. so there were no issues which was much appreciated. My husband and I like to walk so we walked to the market or out to dinner, for coffee, afternoon drink etc. which primarily included Le Bonita Del Capo restaurant and the Bar Santa Rosa, as the staff at both were friendly and very helpful, as well we enjoyed the food and atmosphere at both, but will review separately. For trips to Amalfi town or others, the Sita Bus stop is very close by and to go to lower level of Conca dei Marini there is an internal bus stop close by. Be aware of time of day you travel as sometimes the Sita buses are packed. Overall we would definitely recommend this property based on our experienc.

Wunderbares, großzügiges Apartment

Hier werden die Touristen nicht gestapelt in engen Räumen, sondern es gibt viel Platz in einer großzügigen Wohnung, die ziemlich komplett und gemütlich eingerichtet ist. Der Blick von der Terrasse auf die Küste ist sehr schön (wenn man den Strommast direkt vor der Wohnung ausblendet), und unter der Markise kann man auf den Sonnenliegen herrlich entspannen. Der Vermieter ist überaus freundlich und hilft bei allen Fragen, die evtl. entstehen, ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Er hat uns nach unserer Ankunft mit seinem Auto zu einer kleinen Runde mitgenommen, um uns die unmittelbare Umgebung zu zeigen. Außerdem hat er angeboten, uns bei Bedarf morgens nach Amalfi zu fahren. Das Apartment liegt im oberen Teil von Conca de Marini, zu Fuß erreicht man den unteren Teil in ca. 15 Minuten. Zu einem kleinen Strand sind es ca. 60 Min. zu Fuß. Per Auto oder Bus/Schiff sind die wunderschönen Ziele der Amalfiküste gut zu erreichen. Die Parkgebühren sind der Nachfrage angepasst, wir haben Preise von 3 € bis 7 € pro Stunde gesehen. Daher haben wir es sehr begrüßt, dass eine kostenlose Garage zum Apartment gehört. Wir können das Apartment empfehlen!

Great Views of Amalfi and the Coast

Please only stay here if you want to truly enjoy Amalfi and the beautiful views. The place is stunning and a quick 5-7 minute bus ride from Amalfi main area. The place is super clean, great balcony and fully equipped with everything. There is a beautiful restaurant and small grocery store within walking distance. Avoid the tourist trap restaurants and enjoy great food and prices here. The host is simply wonderful and ALWAYS available for any questions or help. He was able to provide us with rides, suggestions on what to do, helped getting ferry and bus tickets, and took us to some amazing view points that we would never have known about.

Enjoyed our stay in this self-contained apartment. A little climbing to get to the house. Apart from that, everything else is what we need: Quiet bedroom, sun shades, kitchen balcony overseeing the coast (had beautiful sunrise and sunset picture there. Raffaele is a great host. He even picked us up from the port of Amalfi with his own car, took us around the property, showed the best place for dinner, grocery. He drove us back to the port on a Sunday morning when the bus was scarce. So thankful

We loved our stay

The property is unique, like the Amalfi Coast. The host couldn’t be better. Rafaele took time at our arrival to ensure we found the place and went above and beyond to even drive us around to see the local market and restaurants - TRUST ME THIS IS IMPORTANT. There are 3 amazing restaurants within less than 10 minute walk. Rafaele also made some suggestions of the best places to visit and how best to get there. The place is also very clean and very well kept. If steps are an issue you might consider another option but keep in mind, Amalfi is pretty much all windy hills and steps so it comes with the territory. I don’t see how you could be disappointed with choosing Rafaele’s place to stay unless you are expecting to be right in the middle of one of the tourist hustle bustle cities. Thanks Rafaele for an amazing stay!

Perfect location and an unbelievable friendly and supportive host (and sister)

Very nice location, everything you need is available in the appartement including a nice balcony with equipment. Erminia has welcome us, and give us a tour around the town, that’s what you call service 😊. There’s was even a garage for our car, which was perfect and easy to use. What not easy is are the roads around the Amalfy coast so getting in and out is interesting. We were there in October and try to take the bus to Amalfi, but that was full and then the chauffeur just wave 😳 Erminia and Raffaele offered us to bring us anywhere we want, so when you don’t want to drive that’s a perfect solution. Conclusion: supper hosts, super location, super appartment, nice holiday!

Ein wunderschöner Urlaub

bei unserer Ankunft wurden wir sehr herzlich von Rafaele empfangen. Er hat uns zum Appartment gebracht und uns danach zu einer kleinen Tour durch den Ort eingeladen. Alle wichtigen Dinge wie Supermarkt, gutes Restaurant, Strand usw. wurden uns gezeigt. Einfach toll! Das Appartment ist groß und geräumig, wie auch die Terrasse. Es ist individuell eingerichtet, so dass man sich zu Hause fühlen kann. Rafaele nochmals lieben Dank für Alles Günter und Marion
