"I had stayed at the Grand Aminta pre-COVID and had a great stay there. This time I brought another group of friends for a local visit, and we also had a fabulous time. The room was a nice size, and we were upgraded to a balcony terrace room. We enjoyed the views and fresh air breezes until evening. Unfortunately, cyclists like to rev their engines as they head up the winding hills so we were not able to sleep with the windows open. Breakfast was good each morning and watching the sun rise over the hills was especially relaxing. We had dinner at the hotel several nights. The bracciole was to die for -- tender, well-seasoned and in a delicious red sauce. Motto bene!!! The hotel provides a shuttle service into downtown Sorrento. It leaves every hour and returns on the half-hour, starting at 9am. We walked from the shuttle drop off to the local train to Pompeii and then another day walked to the ferry to Capri for a day. Another day, we had a small group tour of the Amalfi Coast and took an Uber from the hotel which was easy to arrange. I highly recommend the Grand Aminta for convenience, great service and comfortable accommodations!"

"Tramonto D’Oro is truly a special hotel. My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon, and we splurged and got the largest suite with a beautiful balcony, and the views were worth every penny. Between the fabulous and clean room and impeccable service (with incredibly kind and happy staff), this place has a wonderful breakfast and lovely restaurant that services a nice dinner (which was a little pricy). In addition, there’s two different bus stations that can take you right into Positano, however, they can be a bit tough to navigate and the taxis are very expensive. "

"Excellent accomodation from the beautifully kept grounds to the comfort of the tastefully decorated rooms to the proximity to Piazza Tasso. We were very impressed with the front desk willingness to help and ensured guests satisfaction. We were upgraded to great rooms and were surprised with a bottle of champaigne to the room. Will definitely return. "

"Wonderful suite with huge balcony (lovely view, including some sea and Vesuvius) and two ample bathrooms, one with plunge bath, one with large walk-in shower. Excellent breakfast and dining both in the restaurant and in the rooftop bar. Moderately busy area with nearby trains and buses with short walk to town centre with shopping and dining a-plenty, but Sorrento is not blessed with easily-accessible, good public beaches (but don't miss the cheap lift down to the harbours). The Grande Marina should not be missed. The staff at the hotel were so friendly and helpful and the only problem we had were related to the power dropping out occasionaly."

"Amazing hotel and staff. Delicious restaurant and their breakfast great too.They are super helpful they arranged our taxi services to Naples. Thank God this place has a porter to help with the luggage. Those who have stayed in Positano known how hard it is to walk down and up stairs with luggage. We stayed in the ocean view with a balcony room and it was beautiful! I would definitely stay here again."
