Pat the host accommodating. Nice house and served our needs for location. Nice fruit trees (lemons) and some orange. Overall clean and fireplace burns were enjoyable and making sure not on burn nights. Chery Kelley.
We’ve stayed at this house before and it’s great. Love the kitchen and the back yard is beautiful. Host is friendly and accommodating. We’ll definitely be back!
This is a great spot! A cozy, quiet neighborhood with great citrus trees in the back and probably the most comfortable mattress I've had at a home rental. Would stay again!
Pleasant well appointed 3 bedroom two bath home in a quiet neighborhood. A relaxing backyard with fruit trees invite a comfy sitting under a pergola. There is a nicely equipped kitchen.Enjoyed this home away from home!
The property was wonderful with super comfy beds, clean and beautiful bathrooms, and a great living room kitchen. The owner did a good job letting us know where different features of the house were and made us feel at home.
Six of us stayed here for the weekend to take our girls to Hurricane Harbor which is only a few minutes away. It was a lovely home base for us - nice for cooking, lounging, and playing board games together.
Just the right size for my family with fully equipped kitchen, baths and a blessed backyard. Located in a safe area and quick driving distance from the Walnut Creek downtown and Mt. Diablo
My brothers and I stayed at the Magnolia House for a peaceful and relaxing family weekend. The house had everything we needed to relax, the neighborhood was calm & quiet, and the backyard still had a bounty of oranges, grapefruits, and lemons. Thank you so much for such a lovely accommodation - would recommend to anyone looking for a stay in Concord!
This is a lovely home, well decorated and extremely comfortable The kitchen is well stocked, which I appreciated as someone who enjoys cooking. There are many fruit trees which the host allows guest to enjoy. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The house was in a location convenient for our visit. The house was very clean and comfortable. Stocked with some basic food items and toiletries. Decor was very nice, plenty of indoor space, and a very nice outdoor space. We had no issues and would definitely recommend and stay again.
Good location and a good floor plan for a family. Check in was easy and the owner was easy to get a hold of and answer questions. The only issue we ran into were creaky floor boards that sometimes woke the kids up if someone walked in the hallway and the master bathroom sink developed a leak during our stay which caused us to be unable to use the sink for the last day.
We had a family reunion in Pleasant Hill, we stayed 5 night's at this home. This is a great location for all Bay areas. We used BART to get into San Francisco. The house is located 7 min. from Concord Station. If you have any questions just ask a local, they are some of the nicest people we've run in to on our vacations. This house was perfect and spacious for our family. The fruit trees were a bonus, beds are comfortable, master shower felt amazing with all the shower heads in the wall and rain head above. We are very happy with our stay and would recommend this cozy home for everyone.
Our good friends that we’ve known for 20 years have never been to the Bay Area. So we decided to schedule a trip. The first thing was to find a place to relax each evening as we completed our sightseeing. Our VRBO ic Concord was the perfect place. Nice and quiet and centrally located for our adventures. We are most gracious to Pat for allowing us to check in early. This was helpful given the two hour time difference and that we had early flights. We would certainly recommend this place and would stay here again. And if you love fruit, the backyard have several fruit trees. Simply amazing.
This sweet little house was just what was described/shown in the listing. Completely comfortable, had everything we needed. The neighborhood was quiet and we had to drive everywhere we wanted to go - but again, this was expected. The primary bedroom’s shower was A+++! The decor could use a smidge of an update, and the one thing that we both could have done without was the air freshener which was so overpowering. And, as others have said, the back yard has so much potential! It could easily fit, and use, some more comfortable lounge furniture. The trees were gorgeous and hopefully there are plans to update.
All in all, this was a really nice spot - centrally
Located btw San Francisco and the Toyota Pavillion, with a lot of hiking nearby. Pat was organized and helpful with the few questions I had.
I was in town due to a death in the family, and an estate we had to clean out. I was the primary occupant, but as family came into town to help pack up the house and sell belongings and split them between us I had a long line of people coming in and out, serving dinners sitting down and having deep discussions and generally working together to get the project finished.
This house was perfect for this since the property we needed to work on was in Danville. And the primary contact was located in Martinez the commute back-and-forth wasn’t bad to Danville , and the house worked out exactly like I thought it would.
The home was open and inviting from the very first minute I walked in there are three bedrooms, an office area and a main open area living dining. What is it listed on the property is that the couch is also a pull out bed , the backyard when I arrived was full of citrus fruits, and by the time I left, all the roses were blooming, and the figs were just starting to come in.
Amenities were above and beyond I never had to worry about finding something I needed to complete a meal everything was there.
If you are coming to California, this is a great place to stay. Location is very close to the highway so it’s easy to get in and out and everything you need it’s less than a mile away.
My only disappointment was that the bed in the main bedroom w/bath was a double bed and not a queen and an open vent.
If you choose to rent this property, you will not be disappointed!!
Our family stayed here during a reunion - 3 couples and one toddler. For such a small house, we were very pleased with the amount of common area space. The kitchen was well-stocked, and we had almost everything we needed. There were a couple quirks that could be addressed: kitchen faucet was loose, master toilet not working properly, guest bath shower very difficult to manipulate, very creeky hallway floor-- but none of these things dampered our time. The space is not decorated like the pictures at all. The space appears to be staged in decor for the photos, but actually it is a very homey vibe with more knick-knacks about. It's possible the photos are very old, because the living room seating has changed (less now),the trees in the back are massive now, and there is no longer grass-- we loved enjoying the fruit from the trees, but were disappointed for lack of grass, because we chose that explicitly for the toddler to run around. At least she enjoyed the dirt. Unfortunately, the AC stopped working during our time there. Pat was very responsive and had workers out to look at it next day. He provided a couple brand new fans to help with the heat, though it only did a little due to the record heat that weekend. The AC was not able to be replaced until after we left, so it was a sweaty stay. (He indicated it would be fixed by end of July, so worth checking.) In general, Pat was accommodating to our needs for the stay, and we enjoyed the space enough to consider returning here.
