"Came across this gem on a college visit. Absolutely wonderful. Historic landmark in the cute little town of Avon where the local people are courteous and friendly. The owners are very nice and extremely gracious We dined in the restaurant and was pleasantly surprised about the quality of food and service from the staff. This hotel brings me back to a time where life was simple, where the finer details of the day were more accentuated and appreciated. Sometimes life has a way of sending you messages. This hotel that was once visited by the “vagabond” trio of Edison, Ford and Firestone during their many travels together is a gift to those who may need to take a deep breath and reconnect with their old soul and imagine what life was like during simpler and finer times. "I had trouble with the lock box until we realized it was not going to unlock-that you open it to get the key lol. Pleasantly surprised at the cute cottage, very clean and everything you need. We brought our own water and coffee pot as it was only 2 of us and I am used to my tiny 2 cup cone filtered coffee. The Atari machine was fun. My dog enjoyed doing loops around the place and going down to the fishing dock. Not a long drive to the artsy 5th most laid back town in NYS Naples where everyone was friendly. Onanda park was a perfect place to exercise the dogs. Anyway nice cottage, nice value. I would stay here again. "
