"Waited10 mins to check in - was provided with a small odd shaped room despite paying extra for a delux room - when at breakfast the overcooked scrambled egg was 'dumped' from a bucket into the Buffett serving trough, I asked for some soft scrambled egg and was told no - that's how it comes - So if you want a substandard room, indifferent staff and you take it 'how it comes' The Clayton is for you !! "

"The walls are peeling and you can see lots of damp. There were 2 holes in the bath so couldn’t have a bath, the shower was broken, they rung the room at 10.10pm to ask if they could come and have a look at the shower, we were in bed after a long day so we said no it is late. I wouldn’t stay here again, gone down hill in recent years "

"The Spa wasnt available, but they gave out complimentary vouchers for the Thermae Spa across the road. The room and the hotel was fabulous. The staff were very kind, and always ready to assist. A quality hotel."

"The executive suite we had was spacious and comfortable, especially the bed. The hotel staff are very welcoming and accommodating. My wife enjoyed the spa facilities. The hotel is located within close walking distance to the Queen Street train station and close to the St Davids centre where there are plenty of nice restaurants and shops."

"lovely hotel, great spa facilities & lovely meal. staff all fab . nly issue was the security bold on the room jammed into place when we were int he spa so we couldnt get back into our room and they had to call maintenance. the lady on reception said it happens often. we were in a hurry so it was not great and we began to panic about the time. these should be removed and replaced with ones that cant lock when you leave the room. very scary if you left a young child in there and popped out for 1 minute or had a train to catch etc. aoart from that it was brtilliant - thank you "
