"There was nothing fundamentally wrong with the stay, but the room I believed I was booking was certainly mis-represented. The description states that each room is individually decorated and individually furnished, yet the walls in our ‘deluxe’ room (one up from ‘standard’) were all plain cream, 1 picture hung, no bedside cabinets, just small metal shelves……just not very enticing, which is very different from all the photos on the listing, even the ‘standard’ rooms are shown to have boutique style wallpaper and furnishings…..which is why I booked. On checking out when I mentioned this, I was just advised….‘I’ll pass on to the manager’, nothing more. Just a bit disappointing, which was a shame."

"This is a very pleasant hotel, ideally situated for those arriving in Skipton by train. It's virtually the first thing you see when leaving the station. It's a ten minute stroll into the town centre, past a former cotton mill, and there's an alternative route via the attractive canal towpath, easily accessible from the rear of the hotel. My room was a single, very comfortable with an en suite shower, with a Juliet balcony overlooking the canal. Breakfast was good and all staff were pleasant and attentive.I didn't use the restaurant but I'm sure that's a good option if you don't want to walk into town in the evening. "

"Parking was great, lovely building, lots of potential. There was no heating, very cold, sink blocked, toilet flush poor, bed very uncomfortable and continental breakfast a proper joke. Shame because it could be lovely. "

"We would not have been able to access the property if it weren’t for the help of other guests. The owners failed to tell us the entrance code. In addition there was no prior warning that the en suite was outside our room (room 6)."
