When we arrived they only had upstairs bedrooms available which was an inconvenience as we had our dog with us and he doesn’t do well with stairs. The sink in the bathroom didn’t drain and they left us with a half used bottle of shampoo. Tv didn’t work and the ceiling fan made a horrible squeaky sound that was too annoying to sleep with it on. The room also smelled of cooked broccoli.

Friendly helpful staff, made us feel welcomed. Appreciate the breakfast (boiled eggs, nice oatmeal, banana, coffee). Can hear the highway noise from the room and tv from another room. Room is dated but reasonably clean. Would stay here again if needed.

I would put this hotel in the category of very good for passing through town needing a rest stop. Very noisy highway. I am a light sleeper and it kept waking me up all nite. Also, breakfast was basic cereal...hot and cold. Did have fruit. You get your breakfast right next to front desk at one person at a time. As I said this is an ok stop if you are needing a pass through stop. Staff was very helpful. Now for the bad...it appears hotel tried to update at least in our room but it needs a lot of work as it appeared that new floors were put down but there were 1-inch gaps. There were cracks in the wall just as you entered the room as well as other small updates needed. And the room was so small that if my wife was sitting at the desk she would have to get up to let me pass to the bathroom.

Staff was very pleasant and with smiles. While the building is old and could use some updating, the room was immaculate, exceedingly comfortable, quiet, peaceful, even has a fireplace and close to the beach!! Thank you so much for a great stay!

Bed bugs found shortly after check-in. We had two rooms. One room was completely fine, the other had bed bugs. Unfortunately, a few hours after checking in, we discovered bed bugs in one of the rooms. One crawled over someone, then after killing it one was noticed crawling on someone's white shoe, which had been sitting on the hard floor near the wall. After finding it, we inspected the bed and found additional bed bugs along the box spring. We took photos of what we found. Thankfully, we discovered them before either person had fallen asleep. The night-shift employee moved us to another room, and she was helpful. The employee at checkout the following morning also apologized and seemed sincere. Unfortunately, no refund or rate adjustment was mentioned or offered. Because of the bed bugs, we had to bag our belongings and spend part of the following morning at a laundromat heat-treating our clothing before we could safely continue our road trip. We also had to keep other belongings isolated afterward because they could not be put in a dryer. I understand that bed bugs can occur even in otherwise clean hotels, and the room itself appeared clean before we discovered them. However, finding multiple bugs, including bugs along the box spring, was extremely concerning and caused considerable disruption to our trip. I hope management had the room professionally treated and inspected the surrounding rooms before allowing additional guests to stay there.

Clean room; excellent water pressure and plenty of hot water in the shower; nice cross breeze when windows open to cool off the room without needing to use the air conditioner; good breakfast selection; very friendly staff; comfortable bed. Perfectly located near museums, restaurants, and local shops. Relatively quiet, even with the traffic around us.

This was an older Hotel, I would stay again due to the rooms we're clean just older, scratches and marks in the toilet and tub, but the beds were clean and very comfortable, a big A plusd, we stayed a week and our bed was made almost everyday, staff was very trustworthy, the owner and staff were some of the best we have ever had, they had the best coffee we have ever gotten, Breakfast is not much, Coffee, milk and cereal, sweet rolls, yogurt and a fruit, but the sever and kindness makes this a redo.

Room did the job for my needs. Hot shower with good pressure. Warm clean bed. Ice machine worked. Good parking. Overhead fan in room not working, TV remote barely working, bathroom could use a remodel update. I’ve stayed before many times and I will stay again.
