A diamond in the rough and a fantastic retreat near Glacier National Park!

This charming log cabin was built in the beginning of the last century and has stood the test of time. It is isolated, in its own extensive grounds, an ideal retreat for someone wanting to get away from the crowds, but is just a few minutes from the Flathead River and Glacier National Park.

This cabin has 3 bedrooms and one bathroom. One bedroom is downstairs from the main floor, the other two bedrooms are upstairs- one is a queen room, and the other is a twin with a trundle bed for a child.

Amenities include: full kitchen with dining table, washer/dryer, outdoor fire pit, internet, TV streaming and an abundance of solitude and tranquility

Please note that the main railway line BNSF & Amtrak, between Seattle and New York runs past about 1/4 of a mile from the cabin.

*Limited cell reception for some carriers
*No pets and no smoking.
*No air-conditioning

Great place
The cabin was exceptionally clean. It is within 10 minutes of West Glacier. Yes, there are trains that go closely by at all hours of the night, but we got used to it very quickly. There are two bedrooms upstairs and one in the basement and the one bathroom is on the main level. It was only a mild inconvenience for us old folks who might have to get up in the middle of the night. We were lucky to have tremendous weather!

Amazing cabin in beautiful location
This cabin is exactly as listed. The rooms were comfortable, the kitchen was well supplied. I couldn’t have asked for anything better. Deer visit every morning and the setting is very relaxing at the end of the day. Location is so convenient for Glacier park and Kalispell. Would definitely recommend and plan to return another time.

The cabin itself was exactly what we wanted. Not opulent but well maintained and clean. The property offers wilderness on all sides, and we spent many hours on the decks enjoying the views. Glacier's west entrance is also less than a 15 minute drive. However, the location did present two noise issues. First, unless there is wind blowing through the trees you can hear constant traffic noise from the nearby highway. Not loud but noticeable. The bigger issue is the very active railroad tracks a few hundred yards away. We never went more than 2 hours without hearing a train, sometimes there were four per hour, but usually one every 90 minutes. This is 24 hours a day. Since there is a crossing gate on the road to the cabin the trains are required to blast the horn 5 times as they approach. It is loud enough that you can't carry on a phone conversation when you are outside (I tried). After being awakened several times on the first night I learned that closing the bedroom window and turning the fan on the highest setting created enough white noise to let me sleep through the blasts. My 16 y/o who slept in the basement wasn't bothered by the trains at night. So if you are looking for a super tranquil nature experience this probably shouldn't be your first choice, but if you don't mind some traffic and train noise it's a very nice place in a great location (other than being by the train tracks).

Beyond amazing! PEACEFUL PERFECTION!
I couldn’t have been happier with this stay! We have traveled all over the world and used VRBO and other sites to book places but this may be one of the top ever! Peaceful perfection! We came for a music fest and hiking Glacier. Waking up every morning to this setting and coming back each afternoon made it even better! It’s clean, unique, comfortable and the grounds are the most beautiful and peaceful place. Yes, there is a train but it only added to the ambiance. After a night you don’t even notice it anymore. 1000% hope to come back again! Loved everything about it! Thanks for a wonderful stay! 6 nights and could have stayed way longer!

Cozy and well-kept cabin
This cabin made our Glacier experience even better. It is cute and comfortable with all of the necessities. Water pressure is good. Wifi is just ok. The property is beautiful and peaceful. Trains are an important part of the cabin's history, and so the sound of a passing train is fitting. We would definitely stay at this cabin again.

Fairytale Property
This property is Magical. It is very private, beautifully maintained, and quiet (except for the occasional train). We picked wild strawberries every day. The cabin has a rich history, and you can feel that it is well cared for. It was perfectly clean and had just about everything we needed during our stay. Communication was great. We wish we could have stayed longer to explore the property and Glacier.

A little slice of heaven
The pictures do not do this place justice. It truly was an amazing experience. It had everything we needed and more. It was the perfect landing spot for our glacier adventure. The only sad part about the trip was that we didnt stay longer! If you have any hesitation about booking; don’t! You will not be disappointed!
