"Thank you for a wonderful stay at Rivernene Cottages. Hosts Stephen and Phil were amazing and could not do enough for all the guests. We stayed in the Yew Tree Cottage, as a family of 4 (2 teenagers) this was perfect! The entire place is immaculately kept. The sweeping garden was a great place to chill out by the bank of the river as well as the delightful heated pool which was used many times during our stay! "This hotel was perfect for my cycling trip to the fens. I chose a single room, but the bed felt more like a 1.5 size in a room that was clean and spacious enough to also store my bike. It was walking distance to the centre of Spalding and OMG, the full English breakfast was tasty! Thanks to all the staff for a great stay!"

Great value comfortable stay

"Lovely old pub with an accommodation block at the rear. Further investment would return this place to it's obvious former glory, but for the price we paid we were pleasantly surprised with the quality we received and would absolutely stay again. Interesting plumbing, seemingly hot water from both taps (?!?) only added to the fun. Lovely service, brilliant Indian food, great location. The village is well worth a stroll around. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay."

Worth visiting.

"We only met the host at the of day 2, but he was really nice and we had a good chat. The room, while small, was clean and tidy. Having the breakfast stored in a cupboard, with different. We actually had breakfast at the Country Lounge on the other side of the river. If you take into consideration that the place was built in the 1730's, it was actually a very nice place. We didn't try the restaurant, but I understand it is highly regarded. "
