It is about 1hr away from secret beach on a golf cart. Downtown is about a 25min drive. Cecelia was very helpful and we felt very safe and well taken cared of. We will definitely come back. "

Nothing really in the surrounding area for hours by boat or car. The beach at the resort is nice and does have kayaks to borrow. There is one rustic beachfront bar/ restaurant. Not fancy, but will fulfill your needs. We were a little disappointed with all the dogs, lack of fresh drinking water and rule to not use...
