It was about this spot where a manatee popped its head up, right in front of my kayak and then proceeded to swim directly beneath my kayak in crystal clear shallow water.

I opted to just totally engage myself in the experience instead of trying to photograph it.

We rented our kayaks from a place called Kayak Jack's. They were great! You pick a drop-off location and specify a time and your kayaks will be awaiting you, ready for launch!

Above and beyond ...

"The gentleman (Gary?) who checked me in was incredible. I asked if there might be a place I could eat close by, and he told me about their restaurant across the parking lot and how good the food was (it was great). Then, he stepped around from behind the front desk to walk me to (not point to) where breakfast was served in the morning, and to the elevator bank. He is an extra-mile kind of employee!"
