"Pretty good hotel room for the price. The neighbor's landscaper started blowing at 4 am. The floor had a few toe nail clippings from a past guest. But overall good value. "

"The hotel was inexpensive, and the facilities are quite old. The housekeeping staff works hard to keep everything clean, but some areas need renovation. For example, the bathrooms need new grout, and the edges where the toilet meets the floor are old and cracked. During my stay, I also saw a cockroach on the bathroom floor, which I believe came from under the toilet. The breakfast was continental—cereal, milk, bagels, and coffee—nothing impressive. However, for the price, it was acceptable. Out of the three employees I interacted with at the front desk, two were friendly, but one was not. He did not respond to my greetings or acknowledge my thanks for the service. "

"The house is very clean and the fenced backyard is a great perk for pet owners. However, there are some maintenance issues worth knowing about — including a hole in a door covered with tape and a couch with broken springs that makes it uncomfortable to sit on.The bigger concern I'd flag for prospective renters is the host. When I realized I had booked for the wrong number of guests, I reached out immediately and asked to cancel rather than pay an upcharge. The host responded by threatening a cancellation fee. VRBO ultimately sided with me and issued a credit, but it was a stressful and time-consuming process.The listing does have a lengthy list of rules, and the experience with the host left our group uneasy about simply enjoying the space during our stay. After many rentals over the years, this was my first genuinely difficult experience with an owner. I'd encourage others to read the fine print carefully and go in with eyes open."
