"This is a difficult review. There was incredible and ugly. First off, this is a Spanish villa originally from Roman times. The place is surreal. Wish we had time to stay 2-3 days and soak it all in. From the dining hall to the chapel, ancient Roman rock carvings . The housekeeper is amazing and breakfast was hand delivered in an antique dining room . Can’t thank her enough. The bad. "I had an absolutely amazing view of Porto from my room. I had to be careful with my hotel room door though. I am used to a hotel room door closing behind me but the door to my room would not close unless I pulled it all the way shut, which caught me by surprise a couple of times. The staff was very kind and professional. The hotel is centrally located. I would definitely stay here again. "

"This was a beautiful hotel with a kind and very attentive staff. Breakfast was superb and location was magical. And one day, after I had asked that the maid only do the bathroom (but she ended up doing the bed too as well as my clothes…which I didn’t want), the staff sent me a bottle of their amazing Port wine and delicious nata desserts as an apology. I loved this hotel! "

"The hotel is beautiful. The Front Desk staff, concierge and Door Person were all super nice and helpful and friendly. The restaurant staff were not very friendly and some times down right snooty with the exception of Ricardo. Our room was beautiful and clean. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and will recommend the hotel. I was super impressed with how lovely all the flowers in the main lobby were and how clean everything was. Super comfy bed too. Nice spa area. "
