Quiet, Cozy and Quaint Log Cabin Living!
Robins Roost is modern real log cabin living which is quiet, cozy and quaint. A 3 bedroom, 2 bath home with beds for 12 people, which includes 3 beds, 2 queen sofa beds and 2 fold out single beds. Close to the Royal Gorge (35 mins), fishing/white water rafting on the Arkansas River ( 15 mins), skiing at Monarch (1+hr), Hot Springs and spas in Salida and Mt Princeton Hot Springs are both within a short 1 to 1 to 1+ hour driving distance. There is access to public lands for exploring, hiking, and hunting. Enjoy Colorado outdoor living and adventures at its finest.
Robins Roost offers amazing views from the front porch. You can also sip coffee while sitting on the balcony outside the private loft bedroom or make s'mores sitting around the outdoor fire pit. All bedding, towels and basic toiletries are provided. Need to do some laundry? A washer and dryer is also available for your use. If you want to enjoy the fire-pit outdoors, you are welcome to bring your own wood. If you didn’t bring, there is some wood in the manger shed to use. Please use cautian and note any burn ban restrictions noted on the sign near Cotopaxi listing fire dangers.
You'll find the cabin accommodating, clean and well kept. I recently remodeled the downstairs bathroom to include a tiled, walk-in shower. Baseboard heaters in the bedrooms and basement along with a newly installed AC/Heat split unit help keep the living areas warm and cozy. You'll find everything you need to cook, including slow cookers. an air fryer, keurig coffee maker and pots and pans. Please keep pets off the beds and funiture or bring your own coverings as we try to accomodate both pet friendly and non-pet guests.
Inside you can enjoy a game of billiards on a full size pool table, or a game of darts or play board games. There are two smart TV's for your entertainment. Starlink provides fast and relaiable wifi and internet connection. Outside you'll find horseshoes or play a few rounds of frisbee golf on the course surrounding the cabin. And of course, bring your hiking shoes and hike to the top of Robins Peak and see incredible views of the Sangre de Cristo mountains to the south and pikes peak to the north. Please remember to drink lots of warter, it'll help prevent altitude sickenss if you're not used to the arid climate and altitude.
PLEASE NOTE! There are two Ring security cameras on the property. One covers the front driveway and entrance and the second one covers the side door entrance. I have installed signs under each camera to notify all guests and visitors.

The cabin was perfect and just what we needed to get away for a little while! Perfect location with lots of space for the kiddos to play outside around the cabin.
Eric was so kind and patient with us and we could tell he put a lot of work and dedication into making the cabin beautiful and comfortable. Everything was clean, there were extras of everything and stuff we even forgot at home! The property was beautiful and we really can’t wait to come back.
This cabin is secluded! Just what we needed! We saw lots of wildlife. The game room is awesome! I played pool every night. It was a fantastic get away!
The cabin was just as listed. They had everything we needed, and my kids loved the Christmas decor as we were there over the holiday. Would definitely stay again!
The view was amazing! The home was cozy! We were able to relax and enjoy every bit of this home. It snowed a lot and the host was very kind and checked in with us to make sure we made it and had the best experience.
It was wonderful and loved the location. We love the mountains and the cabin was just awesome. We loved every minute and would go back to this cabin for vacation again.
Very Secluded beautiful location
Very accommodating house and propert owner
Is available for correspondence if needed. And very friendly would recommend staying here to anyone.
The host and the accommodations are always above and beyond our expectations. The house and the view are both gorgeous and a place to have a perfect calm and relaxing vacation.
The stay here was awesome! So quiet all you heard was the wind in the pine trees and the hummingbirds flying by for a visit. The views were breathtaking. We’d sit on the deck and just relax and enjoy.
Robin's Roost was well appointed & very comfortable with great views. Quiet and peaceful but opportunities for fun with horseshoes & disc golf. We saw moose, deer and turkey! Owner was very responsive and helpful. Would definitely stay again!
We stayed during Christmas and it was everything we were needing. It was truly a place to disconnect and enjoy nature. Eric checked on us throughout our stay to make sure we had everything we needed. Definitely recommend if you want to sit back and relax.
This is a very quiet place to stay and get away from the hustle and bustle of life. My partner, dog and I loved getting to explore the property and have some outdoor fires. Definitely recommend
We really enjoy this cabin. It is in a secluded location and well equipped. This part of the state is beautiful and small town feel is why we come back. The property manager/owner is great to deal with and we will be back.
We needed some peace and quiet and solace away from our busy lives. Robin’s Roost was just what we were looking for. The scenery was breath taking and it was secluded enough to enjoy but also close enough to Canon City and Salida that any necessities were easy enough to get.
This property was absolutely gorgeous! It was exactly what we were looking for as an off the grid house. The sunrise coming up every morning perfectly warmed up the deck and everything there was perfect. Plenty of outdoor activities for the day and at night the house had plenty of games and stuff to do. Will definitely be returning to this property again!
We loved our stay! More than enough room for our family and everything you would need for a long stay. Luckily a moist summer so was able to use the fire pit and nutmeg and a great visitor.. Loved the seclusion, views on the way up, lil disc golf course, and just the peaceful vibe of the place. Only problem we had was we didn’t stay long enough.
The cabin and property are exactly as described. The host is very accommodating and the cabin has everything needed for a great stay. The abundance of wildlife is amazing. Our first day we were blessed being able to see a moose and her calf, as well as a large flock of turkeys and their babies, and a very large buck deer all very close to the cabin. The view off the porch is beautiful and relaxing all you will hear is the wind through the pines and multiple bird calls. Definitely worth the drive up the mountain.
