"The Glasshouse was a wonderful hotel to stay at! It had a spacious room and was located in a great spot right on the canal. It was walking distance from many shops, restaurants, and Sligo sights to see. "

"The room was nice, though a bit on the small side. Our view was great, but I don’t know how many rooms have that view. There is a bar and a restaurant, and the breakfast is a buffet with a lot of good choices. The location is great, in the heart of Donegal town. It does not have some amenities that are common with American hotels, such as a pool or a workout room. But it does have a vending machine with snacks, soft drinks, and water, so that was nice. What it out for me was the service. We mentioned by email that it was our anniversary, and they set us up with a view of Donnie Gay, and a chocolate plate with happy anniversary written on it. And then after Aaron Lingus Starr bags they were very helpful, in terms of helping us figure out where to shop for necessities as well as doing things like drying our clothes free overnight after we washed them in the sink. The night Porter even walked me around outside at 6 a.m. to show me various shops where we might be able to pick some things up. There was only so much they could do before we got our bags, but they did what they could and we appreciated it."

"Probably one of my favorite locations I stayed in all of Ireland. The breakfast was an amazing spread and she will also make you something hot to order. Lovely room with an amazing view overlooking the lake. Not much to do nearby so the perfect getaway in the country! Will absolutely book again if available when I'm back. "

"My room was accidentally assigned with 2 twin beds instead of my king/twin setup I booked. The manager of the restaurant, Owyn, gave us free entrees at the restaurant (North) and a free dessert since we were on an anniversary trip. He turned a bad situation into a great memory!"

"I stayed three nights with my husband and 15 month old. Trudy was very accommodating and did a wonderful job of restoring this farmhouse. It is so idyllic and felt like you stepped into the past, but also cozy and welcoming. Neighboring sheep are near the house and there are a couple of fenced sections of the yard that we were able to let our toddler roam around. She was very responsive to messages and accommodating of our fluxuating arrival and departure times. Would highly recommend to anyone considering staying here!"
