A quite gateway in the mountain! Cass cottage 1 - Lake Pearson, Authur's Pass

8/10 Good
"The place was lovely, with a beautiful view of the mountains. It was really spacious as well with lots of space inside, and super warm with the fireplace and underfloor heating. Biggest thing was it was a bit different to what was listed, the bunk beds aren't there anymore and we'd taken that into consideration when choosing the spot and there were spare mattresses but no spare linen. So now there are just x3 queen beds and x1 king bed, or bring your own linen for the mattresses. What was a nice surprise though is the listing suggested there was only one toilet, there are actually 3 toilets and two showers. There are also no curtains which didn't bother us as we are up quite early anyways and it was warm enough, but something to consider if we went back in summer. Overall would recommend and I'd go back."
"It's lovely basic bach and comes with a functional kitchen with stove tops and oven. It's near Arthur's Pass railway station and was not positively surprised with the amount of train traffic late at night and early morning, not ideal for light sleepers. Surroundings are stunning though especially with the fresh snow on the mountains. Walking distance to the village."
Gorgeous family-sized rustic Holiday Chalet in Arthurs Pass. Tranquil setting!
10/10 Excellent
"We loved our stay at the chalet! It was warm & cosy, had a great charm about it. Especially enjoyed sitting on the deck in the sun in the afternoon admiring the incredible views! Highly recommend. "
"We stayed 1 night, we were passing through (off season). Few guests, all quiet, morning breakfast alright, price was fair. Shower and restrooms adequate with soap and plenty of hot water, towels provided in good condition. The only issue i had was that this lodge was very far from the road, up a gravel road with no guard rails at all. Either it was not disclosed or i didnt find it on the website. Very scary getting up to the lodge after sunset, in the dark, dodging rabbits left and right."
"A fabulous place to spend some time. Great communication before and after our booking. The house was clean and tidy with everything we needed for our stay. Would highly recommend staying here."
