The George as a building is full of character, but what really makes it an excellent stay is the quality of the staff. Such a friendly welcome, and superb service for breakfast and dinner meant that we felt very much at home. I recommend the George to anyone staying in the area.

Wonderful countryside classic hotel

Great pet friendly hotel located in central town, free parking in the back. Well equipped room, we appreciated the fan as it was quite warm. Very friendly staff, good food and plenty of breakfast options. Perfect for an overnight stay and close to exploring Sissinghurst.

A very historic hotel dating back well prior to Cromwell. The room was charming and the knight in armor in the reception area and swords over the fireplace with ancient oak mantelpiece in the restaurant was really nice as was the breakfast

This hotel is very clean, it is 500 years old so is not modern but rooms and bathrooms are very clean and tody.
