We're located 11 miles north of Pagosa Springs along a scenic mountain road that leads to a secluded spot surrounded by the San Juan National Forest. This 1,400 sq ft, two-story cabin offers one private bedroom with an outdoor balcony plus a loft with multiple beds. A fully stocked kitchen, dishwasher, washer and dryer, gas stove & wood-burning stove, and electric heat are available for your convenience. Relax outside on the deck that overlooks a valley with 2 ponds and northern peak views. The cabin sits on 2 wooded acres at 9,000 ft elevation surrounded by aspens, spruce, and fir trees, that's home to mule deer, elk, fox, chipmunks, and an assortment of birds. This cabin is located in a small settlement named Lost Valley of the San Juans. There are few friendly neighbors, but they are spread out among the valley. The Weminuche Wilderness and Fourmile trailhead are very close. They offer breathtaking views of waterfalls, creeks, rivers, and high mountain lakes.
We are 30 minutes from Pagosa Springs, 1 hour and 45 minutes from downtown Creede, and 1 hour and 40 minutes from Durango.

Loved the location and peacefulness of the house. Drive up was gorgeous and the property itself was wonderful and just what we were looking for! We loved walking around the property and area. Will stay again if in the area.
Very quiet and roomy. Lots of places for everyone to go for walks in the evening. Short distance to Pagosa Springs and outdoor adventures.
All bedrooms are upstairs and a secure stair and hand rail to get in the back deck would have been nice. We would return here.
This is the perfect getaway! The cabin is a little drive (30min) from Pagosa Springs but the woods surrounding the cabin are stunning. The cabin was very comfortable for our family of four. This is the second time we’ve stayed here because the location is beautiful and the cabin has everything you need. My only complaint was the carpet smelled strongly of urine.
Beautiful views, close to hike the Four Mile Falls. Cooking out in serenity! Great getaway to unwind from the Rat Race of every day life! Well stocked kitchen, bring all your food for cooking. FYI...There is not a store close by, but we enjoyed the quietness and were prepared.
We absolutely loved the Cozy Cabin! It was
perfect for our little family. The only thing I wasn’t crazy about was the bathroom down stairs; I have to get up during the night and felt like I was waking everyone with the stairs. But definitely doable for a week! Cabin had everything furnished well including movies and games. We loved all the deer, elk and chipmunks we saw on the drive up and down each time. Definitely recommend!!!
Arrived after dark and the road is winding and very dark, but the directions were great. The valley is beautiful and only a mile from Four Mile trailhead and the trail to the falls. Very friendly people living in the valley.
Was a great place to stay away from town. We enjoy being away from the crowd and this is definitely it. Be prepared to drive 30min to town, we planned our outings with a bag for all events so that we only had to make the trip once a day if needed. The trails were great. Only disappointment was that the kids did not catch any fish on the property ponds. Otherwise great
This little cabin in the woods was exactly what we were looking for in a getaway for our family! Our 3 kids (ages 7-11) chose it because of the loft, which was perfectly comfortable with the 3 beds and plenty of cozy space. Kitchen was fully stocked with all the basics, essential spices and even condiments, which is so rare! The little extra surprises topped it off, like basket of toys, extra fishing poles, dvds and cupboard of games. Although there is Wi-Fi, we were delighted to see our kids remain completely unplugged and enjoy the beautiful surroundings!
A great, comfortable, relaxing, beautiful cabin in the mountains and trees. Great to sit on the deck with a cup of coffee and watch the hummingbirds and chipmunks. The quiet road around the lake makes for a nice stroll with stunning views of the mountains nearby.
We loved our stay at this great little cabin. It was just perfect; exactly what we were hoping for. Lots of nice considerate touches to make our stay easier, quiet, and peaceful. We’ve already shared this little gem with friends and hope to make it back there ourselves.
The cabin in the San Juan National Forest was cozy and peaceful. The kitchen was fully stocked. Clean cabin with a comfortable vibe. The back porch was my husband's favorite spot to watch for deer, and other wildlife. Many different kinds of wildlife we saw from the back porch.
