This lovely vacation rental is just one block away from the breathtaking Pebble Beach, where you can take in the sights and sounds of the Pacific Ocean.

It offers two cozy bedrooms and one and a half baths, making it perfect for a small family or group of friends. The bedrooms are furnished with comfortable beds and fresh linens, and can comfortably sleep 5 people - there is 1 queen sized bed in the main bedroom, one twin, and a full-sized futon in the other. The living area is decorated in a delightful coastal style, providing a relaxing atmosphere for you to unwind in. The fully equipped kitchen has most of the conveniences of home while on vacation. Get away

Very nice cottage, had amazing location, walk to Pebble Beach, SeaQuake just down the road. The master bedroom was very comfortable. We would definitely rent it again.

Property was comfortable and close to the water/red wood national forest etc. We had an issue with ants and this made it difficult to the relax. I don’t think this is a normal occurrence but did keep us from cooking at the home.

Pros: Amazing location a block from the beach, easy access to redwoods, comfy queen bed, new washer/dryer, great view from one nice couch, roomy, fruit trees in backCons: Many of the furnishings are very worn (one couch and the futon too lumpy to use, curtains in shreds, missing drawer pulls, etc.), fridge & dishwasher need updating.The house just needs some TLC. Also, host doesn't provide much info.

Perfect pet Friendly home

This place was a perfect home to stay with my fur babies. Big back yard for them to run around in and washer & dryer was very much appreciated. Ocean view from living room window and very short walk to beach.

Coast & Redwoods

Great central location to explore both the coast and the redwoods. Visit Trees of Mystery, Jedediah, Oregon coast; explore the murals of Crescent City; stop by the visitor centers. Host was very responsive. Cute property with large backyard for pets.

We love this house!

Just a perfect place to stay. Very well stocked, clean. Excellent backyard for the dogs and a very short trip to the beach. I even walked to grocery outlet down the street a short distance. The owner is great!

Relax and Enjoy

Very cute home with all of the comforts of home. Nice back yard for kids and pets. One block up from the beach with great views of the Lighthouse. Close to town and plenty of activities.visit Crescent City often and will never stay in a motel again. VRBO is the way to go!

good location

the house was a bit older decor, but comfortable. host was helpful for any questions. the yard does need some tidying up. friendly neighborhood, easy access to services. Overall we enjoyed our stay!

Too cold for winter

The property was clean but there is mold in the bathroom on the ceiling. The house was super cold and the space heaters could not keep the place warm. The fireplace ended up only staying on for short periods of time so did not help at all.

We liked this place!

This property met our needs. We appreciated being able to do laundry. The fireplace was great for chasing out the chill. A few suggestions: have more than 4 chairs (even 2 folding chairs would help), have instructions for operating the Dish TV; clean the windows; have room darkening window coverings in the front bedroom—the street light shone through the sheer curtains.

Great location

Wonderful home! The lay out with the bedroom on one side of the house and the kitchen on the other end. I could get up early and make breakfast without disturbing my wife. A nice working gas fireplace, partial views of the ocean, a good sized kitchen. The 1/2 bath in the laundry room was helpful. The rooms were well cleaned. And yes, the curtains need to be darker to block the light at night and the valve on the shower needs to be replaced. Jack

Good but needs new sofas

Hi, enjoyed the area & there is much to like about the property. Clean, tidy, good bathroom, laundry & kitchen. It is good value but 2 specific things really need resolving. Firstly the sofas are extremely uncomfortable & all cushions have little or no support & covers need cleaning. Secondly the curtains in the main bedroom need replacing with thicker curtains or blinds which stopstreet light coming in & affecting sleep. Once done, this would be a great house

Backyard access

The flowers on the table were a nice touch. Your home was very clean except for the ants in the kitchen. Our food and cooler were covered in a short time. It would have been nice to know that there is no central heat. We liked the zone heat in the bedrooms but were unable to use the fireplace...no instructions. The space heaters worked okay but seemed dangerous to leave on at night. The access to the backyard was poor. The door to the yard had broken slates and was quite difficult to open and lock.

Okay property

This property has some good qualities- a large backyard and a nice kitchen. There was also a washer and dryer. I expected the home to be clean since each renter does pay a cleaning fee. There were cobwebs and dust. The main bedroom's curtains are sheer and the street light comes through them. It was hard to sleep through the night. The shower was not up to par. The handle to turn on the shower falls off and it is hard to turn to get warm water. The shower head is also not secured to the wall. There is no metal plate to keep it secured. When I tried adjusting the shower head for my cold shower, it broke off. The head was attached with old plastic pipe and glue. I was charged $150 for this repair.

Affordable and Convenient, but Needs Attention

We use VRBO consistently to find vacation rentals. Typically, we have very good luck in terms of what is listed as an amenity and what is actually in good working order when we arrive. Unfortunately, we received a message from the nice host via VRBO after we had departed for our destination letting us know the oven and some kitchen outlets were not working. I didn't receive the message until we returned home. When we arrived at the cottage, we found the internet would not work, and while the host tried to get it resolved, we had no wifi/internet access for our entire trip. The oven and dishwasher were not working due to an electrical issue, and the heater in the main bedroom seemed to have a serious issue causing us to turn it off immediately. While this is a decently laid out little cottage, in a very convenient location, and kept very clean, it should either be made ready to be rented out prior to accepting a reservation, or it should be offered at a discounted rate with the non-working items noted, should the loss of those amenities not be a problem for the renter.

The Coastal Cottage was perfect for our stay. The cottage is set up with everything you need for a stay, it felt like home. The short walk down to the end of the street leads to a pretty beach. The host was very responsive and nice. The neighborhood is great as well.

Let me begin by saying crescent city is a dive of a town. So with that said, this property was decent. What I liked it is seemed clean inside although old and the beds were very comfortable. We all had a good night’s rest which is what was needed after our long drive down the coast for our party of 5, one person being 83 years old. The owner was kind and responsive. Checkout was at 11am and at 11am there was someone there waiting outside for us to leave which felt strange. No grace time. But it’s not my home so I understand. The home needs quite a bit of repairs including a heater that works. The portable heater does not work. But what was important to us is that we slept well and there was what appeared to be a new washer and dryer near the garage so that helped after a week of traveling down the coast. There was refilled water bottles in the fridge - that seemed strange instead of just new bottles. And we were able to park our expensive Denali in the garage but there is no lock on the garage door and crime appears to be high in the area if you google it It definitely fulfilled our need but I would never suggest staying in crescent city to ANYONE. Very run down town for being a coastal town. Such a shame

Great location and host

The place was great and in a quiet area close to the tide pools, park, brewery (and food), and lighthouse. We were able to walk everywhere in short time. The host was responsive and helpful and the house felt like a home
