"We had the place to ourselves and the beautiful wildlife right on the river. Shanna and Kenny were wonderful and handled every aspect of our trip. The pool and bbq were fun! I would definitely stay here again. The family of Howler Monkeys with babies were my favorite part. Peaceful, serene, and in the jungle."

"What a beautiful resort! Kaleb was our host checking in. Very professional and friendly. There was a small issue with our room, but it was quickly rectified beyond our expectations. The rooms were immaculate, spacious and had everything you would need for a comfortable stay. The grounds were absolutely gorgeous with giant iguanas running around. We dined at the restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. We had a chance to interact with the owner Beverly and she was wonderful and gracious. Upon checking out, I interacted with Dryane, again, very professional and friendly. I chose this location as it was close to both Altun Ha and the Baboon sanctuary, which both come highly recommended from me. Black Orchid is a wonderful place to stay. I hope to return someday."

"We chose this place based upon location next to the airport with a morning departure and not wanting to cab all the way from Belize city amongst congestion and traffic. The accommodations were more than adequate with well thought out extras like complimentary refrigerated bottled water, bandages, anti-septic, coffee, sundries, hairdryer, etc. Lots of cool/cold air conditioning! Comfy bed. Great privacy. Across the street from a park with lit basketball court.But, without a doubt, the number one best thing was the awesome hospitality of the host, Lizbeth, who provided amazing service and transport to and from the airport, as well as Belize city - dependable, reliable, informative, and genuinely friendly and wanting to be as helpful as possible! 5 stars for her, and 5 stars for a nearby local restaurant that she provided free transportation back and forth! PS. Lizbeth and most people speak flawless English."

"Great stay, perfect spot for booking tours & heading out on the river to Lamanai. A little distance from orange walk town, so more difficult if you’re using public transport..but i had a car and this place was perfect!"
