"From the minute we checked in at Summit Lake Lodge, we felt like we had stepped into a movie. The lodge is absolutely beautiful, tucked into the mountains and overlooking the stunning Summit Lake. It’s one of those places that feels special the moment you arrive. We stayed in one of the Historic Rooms and loved it. The room was incredibly spacious, with a wonderfully soft and comfortable bed, plenty of storage, two sinks, and a separate toilet room. It had all the charm you’d hope for in a historic lodge without sacrificing comfort. We also ate both dinner and breakfast at the lodge, and everything was delicious. But what really made our stay memorable was the hospitality. Everyone was so genuinely warm and welcoming—it’s the kind of hospitality you expect when you’re staying with family. Summit Lake Lodge was such a special part of our time in Alaska, and we truly couldn’t recommend it enough. Beautiful setting, wonderful food, comfortable rooms, and people who make you feel right at home. We would stay here again in a heartbeat."
