Lovely boutique hotel located in historic old town Cuenca. Safe and convenient. You can stay here and walk local historic streets and see the local churches and check out local restaurants. Room was clean and neat. Service was great!

The property has a historic charm. The staff were very personable and helpful. Our room, a suite, was spacious and comfortable. The only downside was the street noise. Our room was in the front of the hotel and the passing cars, trucks, motorcycles were loud well into the wee hours.

The is a very old quaint hotel. It is adorable and well taken care of. The staff is top notch and go out of their way to meet every need, even before you know you need it. They attend to every detail. The breakfast is prepared and presented very tastefully. The staff make you feel right at home. Located in downtown, it is within walking distance of restaurants and shops. We will return to this diamond in the rough, for future stays in Cuenca.

Situated in the Center makes walking to the historic sites easy. Many of the furniture Spears to be antique but by using them they are old ( beds make noises when you turn around, bathtub is very slippery, toiletinstallation is very low above the ground....). Hotel

I had a great experience at the hotel. It's in a great location and staff was wonderful. One bad experience was the taxi stole my mini I pad that delivered us to the hotel. The hotel was helpful to work with the police and wrote a letter in my behalf. But I don't see how I will get it back, the police were not in the least bit interested in helping. I applaud the hotel to be helpful in this situation.

Hidden Gem

The city of Cuenca is lovely, this hotel is around he corner from the Cathedral and all the restaurants. It is a very charming hotel, a restored colonial home, with open courtyards, large rooms, high ceilings. Plus there are excellent showers with strong water pressure. The staff was professional, the breakfast was perfect (bacon and eggs were delicious!!!).

Although I already payed my stay with Expedia the hotel made me pay again and refused to let me out. I almost lost my flight and am still demanding for my money back!

Me parecio un hotel que para nada es de 5 estrellas, no tiene garaje, el servicio malo, y las habitaciones muy simples y frias sin calefacción, es un precio demasiado caro para lo que te ofrecen. No volveré nunca mas y no lo recomiendo a nadie.

Not very happy with this lodging choice

I travel about 30 trips and 100K airmiles a year and in 5 years - I have only written two negative reviews. This will be my third. First, in fairness, this is a very nice looking hotel that has been renovated. Staff was very helpful and considerate. Problem is the building and the furniture. Beds are way too small - at 6 foot -Im hanging over. The building in an enclosed atrium with very nice wooden floors. Problems is the sound carries everywhere. If you want peace and quiet - find another place to rest while in Cuenca. We dealt with people roaming halls (you can hear everything like they are in your room) until 2 am - then little kids running amuck at breakfast at 7 am. Im serious - it is like they are right in your room. Great staff needs to find a better building.
